Kid Liam appendix bursts (Request)

Prompt- you should do one where Niall and Zayn are the parents and Liam is a baby and his appendix ruptures.

Niall's pov

It is about 3 am and I get woken up by someone crying. I carefully get out of bed so I don't wake Zayn up. I quietly leave the room and go into Louis room first but see he is fast asleep. I smile and leave the room. I then walk into Harry's room and see he is fast asleep as well. I smile again and leave the room. I walk into Liam's room and see him sat up in bed crying. I say "Hey lili whats wrong." He reaches out for me saying "Papa" I gently pick him up and he starts crying more saying "Oww" I sit on his bed and ask "Where does it hurt love?" Liam points to the right side of his tummy near his belly button. I say "Right let's get you to the hospital. I know what that is" Liam shakes his head and I sigh but gently pick him up being careful of his tummy.

I walk into mine and Zayn's room and I shake Zayn awake. Zayn asks "Are you alright? Why is Li crying?" I say "I recon he has appendicitis. I am taking him to the hospital now." Zayn nods and says "Let me know any updates" I nod and say "Will do." I leave the room and carry Liam out to the car. I carefully put him in the car seat and strap him in. I shut the door and I get into the drivers seat and start to drive off to the hospital.

As soon as I get to the hospital I park the car and get out. I go round to Liam's side and open the door. I carefully unstrap him and gently lift him up. He says "Papa I feel sick." I say "Alright love let's get you checked out." I carry him into the hospital and go up to the receptionist desk and say "Hello I think my son has appendicitis." The receptionist nods and gives me a form and says "Fill this in and we will get a doctor to have a look at him." I nod and take the form and sit down with Liam on my lap.

I fill in the form and then take the form over to the receptionist desk and hand the form in. I walk back over to where we were sitting and sit back down with Liam on my lap again. He says "Papa I feel sick" I gently rub his back and say "It's going to be alright" Liam then gags and throws up all over himself and the floor. I gently rub his back and say "Shh it's alright. It doesn't matter" Liam throws up a couple more times before he leans his head on my shoulder. A couple of minutes later the doctor comes over and says "Liam Horan" I nod and say "Sorry about the mess." The doctor says "It's alright. We will clean it up in a bit." I nod and the doctor says "Right let's get Liam checked out" I nod and carry Liam to the room the doctor is taking us to. The doctor gestures us to sit down and I sit down with Liam on my lap again. The doctor asks "What seems to be the problem?" I say "Liam woke up with a really painful tummy. When I asked him where it hurt he pointed to the right side of his tummy by his belly button." The doctor nods and says "That sounds like appendicitis. I will call for an ultrasound now" I nod and the doctor leaves the room.

I look down at Liam who is struggling to keep his eyes open. He says "Papa I wanna sweep" I say "I know little one. Try to stay awake for me though" about ten minutes later the doctor walks back into the room and smiles sadly at Liam who is still struggling to keep his eyes open "Aww bless him. Let's get this ultrasound done then he can get some sleep." I nod and I carefully help Liam to lay down. The doctor sets up the ultrasound machine. The doctor squirts some gel on Liam's stomach and gently starts the ultrasound. The doctor looks for a few minutes then says "He needs surgery ASAP. His appendix is about to burst." I nod and say "Do what you need to do doctor." The doctor pages for a surgery room to be prepared to remove Liam's appendix

A few people come in the room and Liam looks up at me scared. The doctor says "You can come with him but when he is asleep you will need to leave the room. His surgery should last about an hour." I nod and we get taken down into the surgery room. The doctor puts the general anaesthetic in Liam and he is almost instantly asleep. I gently kiss him on the forehead and whisper "I love you Liam. Be strong" I leave the room and go into the waiting room. I grab my phone and call Zayn. He picks up after the second ring and says "Hi Ni any news on Li?" I say "He is in surgery. His appendix was about to burst. He looked so scared. They allowed me to go down with him and be with him until he was asleep. I am so worried about him Zayn. I don't know what to do." Zayn says "Hey don't panic. He will be just fine. He is strong and a fighter. He will make it Niall and be just fine. You'll see." I nod and say "Your right Zayn. He just looked so scared and so small in the hospital bed." Zayn responds "I bet he did. Keep me posted on our littlest one Nialler" I nod and say "Will do Zee. Speak to you in a bit." Zayn responds "Speak to you in a bit" the call ends and I wait.

About an hour and a half later still Niall's pov

I am panicking. The doctor said that his surgery should last about an hour but it has been an hour and a half. Soon I hear Liam's name being called. I am instantly up and walking over to the doctor. I ask "How is he?" The doctor says "Let's walk and talk." I nod and the doctor starts to lead me to Liam. The doctor starts talking "There was a small complication with Liam's surgery." I ask "Is he alright?" The doctor nods and says "He will be just fine. As we were about to remove his appendix it burst. We cleaned the area really well. We are keeping him here for a little while just to make sure there are no further complications. But it is just precautionary." I nod and ask "Other than that is he alright?" The doctor nods and opens the door to where Liam is and we walk through and I smile sadly at Liam who is still asleep. The doctor says "The anaesthetic should wear off in about twenty minutes but he may sleep until morning as it is very late" I nod and say "Thank you for everything Doctor." The doctor nod and says "Your welcome." I take a picture of Liam and send it to Zayn saying 'Liam is out of surgery. A small complication because his appendix burst but he should be just fine.' I turn my phone off and lay down on the sofa and fall asleep myself.

A few hours later Zayn's pov

I walk through the door with Louis and Harry and smile seeing both Liam and Niall asleep. Harry asks "Daddy why is papa and Lili sleeping?" I respond "Because they are. They both had a rough night" Harry nods and Louis asks "But why daddy?" I say "Because Liam had to have something called a surgery and your papa was worried about him." They both nod and I go over to Niall and gently shake him saying "Ni wake up" his eyes slowly open and he says "Zayn when did you get here?" I respond "Just now. The other boys are here as well." Niall nods and sits up. Harry comes over and says "Papa I missed you." Niall says "I missed you too buddy." I look over at Liam and see he is still asleep." Niall says "You can't at the moment because he is sleeping but I'm sure when he wakes up he will love to play a gentle game with you." Harry asks "Why a gentle game?" I say "Do you remember that I told you he had a surgery" Harry nods and I continue "Liam is going to be a bit sore so he needs to be careful" Harry nods and Liam starts to wake up.

Niall's pov

I look over as Liam starts to shift. He opens his eyes and says "Papa" I carefully walk over to him and say "I'm here little one. So is daddy, Hazza and LouLou." Liam smiles and Harry comes over "Lili" Liam smiles and says "Hi Hazza" Louis asks "Lili how do you feel?" Liam shrugs and says "I don't know LouLou." Zayn goes on the other side of Liam and gently kisses his head "Glad you are alright now Liam." He gently kisses him on the forehead Liam nods and smiles.

A few weeks later no one's pov

Liam got released from the hospital after 4 days. He went back to nursery after 2 weeks of being released from the hospital but had to still take it easy. After a month Liam was back to being his normal crazy self.
