Liam looses his voice (Request)

Prompt- one where Liam looses his voice.

Liam's pov

We are half way through our take me home tour. For the past couple of days I have had a slightly sore throat due to a cold I have picked up from somewhere but I have been able to do concerts and interviews. I have just woken myself up coughing. I sit up and cough into my elbow. Once I have finished I swallow and wince at the pain in my throat. I grab my phone and turn it on and see it is 3:30am. I look over at Louis' bunk and sigh. I wish he was with me I am feeling really rough. I let out a few sneezes. I hear a curtain open and Louis says "Hey babe are you alright?" I shrug and look over at Louis and I reach out for him.

Louis pov

I get woken up by Liam coughing and sneezing. I know he is feeling rough he has had a cold for a few days. I open my curtain and say "Hey babe are you alright?" Liam shrugs and looks over at me. He reaches out for me. I get out of bed and grab my duvet off my bed and say "Let's go out to cuddle in the main area" Liam nods and I help him down from his bunk and lead him to the main area of the bus. I say "Go and snuggle on the sofa and I will go and get you some cold and flu." Liam nods and lays down on the sofa. I put my duvet over him and I go into the kitchen.

I grab the cold and flu tablets and a bottle of water and go back into the main area and see Liam sat up coughing into his elbow. I sit next to him and rub his back and say "Oh babe." Once he is done he snuggles into my side and I say "Li baby take this for me." Liam nods and I hand him the cold and flu tablet and I open the bottle of water for him and hand it to him. Liam swallows down the tablet. Liam then snuggles into me and I lay us down. Liam turns so he is laying on his stomach and he lays his head on my chest over my heart. I gently smooth Liam's hair and say "Get some sleep love. I'll be here if you wake up" Liam nods and soon falls asleep. I gently kiss him on the forehead and soon follow him to sleep

A few hours later still Louis' pov

I get woken up by a flash and Niall saying "Haz you left the flash on." I open my eyes and ask "Why did you take a picture of us?" Harry responds "Cause you two looked so cute together." Zayn then asks "Why are you two asleep out here and not in your bunks?" I say "Liam woke me up coughing at about 3:30 this morning we have been out here since" the others nod and I ask "What do we have today?" Harry responds "We have 3 interviews, a rehearsal and a concert tonight." I nod and say "At least we aren't too busy then." The others nod and Liam starts coughing in his sleep. His eyes open and he sits up coughing into his elbow. I gently rub his back. He soon calms and leans his head on my shoulder yawning.

A few hours later still Louis' pov

We have finished our interviews. Poor Liam has felt awful all day. He has had this awful hacking cough which is causing his voice to come and go all day. We are half way through our rehearsal. Liam looks awful. He doubles over and starts coughing again. Once he is done he lets out a few sneezes. I slowly walk over to him and hand him a tissue. He blows his nose and I say "That cough sounds awful babe." He says horsely "It hurts my chest." I gently rub his back and ask "Do you want to sit out of the rest of rehearsal?" Liam nods and I instantly know he is feeling worse than he is letting on. I nod and say "I'll go and talk to management." Liam nods and sits down on one of the stage props. I smile at him and he attempts to smile back but his smile fades quickly.

I walk over to management and say "Liam has an awful cough and is loosing his voice. Can he sit out the rest of the concert so hopefully he can sing tonight?" Management look over at Liam who is struggling to stay awake and says "Fine only this once but he has to do the concert." I nod and go over to Liam and I gently touch his shoulder he jumps and looks at me and I say "Sorry didn't mean to make you jump. Management said you can sit out the rest of the rehearsal." Liam nods and lays down closing his eyes. I say "Li go to the dressing room love." Liam shakes his head and says "M too sleepy" before he starts snoring. I smile and shake my head fondly. I decide to let him sleep as he looks exhausted.
