GROUP OUTINGS with his friends made Alec feel better when he was down. They were the people he felt most comfortable being himself around, besides his family. They understood him, were always on his side, and always had his back no matter what. He really couldn't ask for a better group of people to call his friends.
He, Jeremiah, JJ, and Roxy were hanging out while May was, unfortunately, at work. They walked around downtown Los Angeles after parking Alec's car at a nearby park. They got food before walking down the street, looking through the stores' windows. After shopping, the group decided to relax at a cafe nearby.
"Is it easy learning a new language?" JJ asked randomly, as he always did, as the group sat in a booth.
"Not really." Alec shakes his head.
"It's not?" JJ questioned.
"No, it isn't, especially learning English when you're so used to speaking Spanish," Alec exclaimed.
"Was Spanish your first language?" Roxy asked from across JJ, and Alec nodded.
"My grandparents spoke to me in only Spanish before I started school. And then when I went, I learned English, and they started incorporating English into talking to me, so I was fluent in both." Alec explains, and Roxy hums in response.
Jeremiah turned to JJ, who sat next to Alec's right. "I'm guessing you want to learn a new language?" he asked the blonde, who nodded.
"I think so," JJ said, nodding.
"You gotta get Duolingo," Jeremiah said, pointing to JJ.
