THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR was here, and Alec was slightly underwhelmed by the holiday season. After meeting his father, he wasn't exactly feeling the holiday spirit. Yes, he still got his family and friends gifts, not wanting to bring their mood down this holiday just because he wasn't feeling it.
He wished for Christmas to be spent with May, cuddled up in her apartment, watching Christmas movies together. But he couldn't, as May had to work on Christmas this year. So, they gave each other their gifts in the morning before she had to leave.
"Ready?" Alec asked May as they sat in the living room with their gifts in front of them.
"Yup." May smiled, nodding, and pushed Alec's gift towards him. "You first."
"Okay," Alec said, smiling.
He grabbed the big gift and slid it closer to him. It was tied at the top, so Alec untied it and pulled down the wrapping. Inside, he found a crate filled with a soft blanket, fancy cologne and deodorant, some chocolate, flowers, and a hat with LA on the front.
