THE FUTURE was something everyone thought about. About who they'll be, what they'll be doing, and who they'll be doing it with. It was always on people's minds, no matter how little or how much time it was on their minds.
Alec used to always think about the future. He wondered who he'd be and the people he'd have in his life, but after the tsunami, he didn't think much about his future. Almost dying put everything into perspective for Alec about living in the moment, even if he sometimes overthought every little thing. So Alec didn't dwell much on the future and just lived in the present, hoping that whatever the future held for him was perfect.
He only hopes he's still with May and has his friends with him. Alec wouldn't know what to do if he didn't have his friends or May by his side in the future. They've made him who he is in the present. They influenced him to change and be a better man people can rely on and go to when in need. Without them, Alec would most likely be a whole different person.
"What's a candy you guys think deserves to die a fiery death?" JJ asked randomly.
The group was hanging out at May and Roxy's apartment, lounging around the living room. None of them had work or classes, so they were hanging out together, just relaxing. As always, JJ, with his racing mind, asked a question out of nowhere.
"3 musketeers," Jeremiah said immediately.
"Really?" Roxy asked, and he nodded. "I like them."
"Don't do this, JJ. You're going to purposely trigger either Alec or Jeremiah for the 100th time," May said to the blonde teen.
