THE 118 FIREHOUSE was more than a simple firehouse. It was a family. The firefighters and paramedics who worked within it loved and protected each other like any family would. This is what made the firehouse so strong when working together through a tough rescue. Alec and JJ saw that during the car pileup, they were in.
Watching Bobby lead his crew during that disaster inspired Alec and JJ. It made Alec question what he wanted to do with his life. If he wanted to stay going into business, wondering if it was something as important as saving lives. It made JJ think differently about whether he genuinely wanted to be a psychologist. He loved helping people with their feelings, but seeing the firefighters help people was a different experience.
"Hello, firefighters of the 118!" JJ shouted as he, Jeremiah, and Alec climbed the stairs to the second level.
Alec laughed, shaking his head. "A little loud, JJ." He said and nodded at the firefighters he'd grown close to. "Hey guys."
"Hey boys, it's nice seeing you guys." Bobby smiled as he stirred something on the oven.
"Alec. Jeremiah. Long time no see, boys." Buck said, hugging the young teen, who smiled. "Who's this?"
"This is my friend JJ." Alec introduced.
"His best friend beside Jeremiah," JJ said, nodding at Jeremiah, who shook his head as Alec chuckled.
"Buck, think of JJ as a younger bisexual version of a Buck 1.0 you told Jeremiah and me about," Alec explained, making Hen, Eddie, and Bobby laugh.
