Coal tamed his hair, which has always looked like he ran his fingers through it, while I let mine hang freely on my back. I have minimal makeup, which is something I'm used to, and I sprayed some shimmer lotion on my collarbones.

"For a person who's surfer won a competition, she's like a walking thunder cloud," I answered, making Coal chuckle in response.
I only let everyone tell Tala about what happened two days ago. I didn't want to worry her, especially with the competition she needed to focus on.
