Grace

The sun was shining over the horizon, and it was just a warm enough morning for me to be standing outside on the terrace. I stand outside watching as early morning traffic moved along on the streets below. My arms are crossed on what I hoped was a stable railing made out of metal and thick glass. I wore only a white, light, long sleeved shirt, my boy shorts, and socks. Seeing as I had just woken up a while ago I hadn't seen any reason for me to get dressed.

What woke me up in deep trance of sleep had been the loud bing coming from my phone, telling me I had a notification. As I wasn't all that busy this week, the only exception being the emails and editing I had done, it had shocked me that I had forgotten what date it was. It was currently October thirty-first; also known as Halloween or 'the Devil's birthday'.

When I throw a glance over my shoulder I see that Will's still fast asleep, curled up under the sheets with one leg sticking out onto of the comforter and one arms swung over his head while the other is by his side.

A small smile appears on my face as I watch his chest rise and fall. I was glad that he would finally have a day off from all the meetings his been enduring over the past three days. He shifts in the bed, his body turning to his right slightly, and I could just barely make out the smile he was holding.

Maybe it was just the bed or he was having a really great dream, but whatever it was, he seemed content. Happy with the result.

Turning my attention back to the wonderful view before me I grab onto my camera that I brought outside with me and hold it up. Turning it on, I line it up with what I wanted to take a picture of, and I end up snapping pictures of the sun disappearing behind the clouds, the streets below, and a couple of exotic birds that flew by a couple of stories down.

With most of my attention on taking pictures I had heard footsteps walking up from behind me. I only realize it when a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist. It was obviously Will as I could smell his cologne that was slowly fading and besides, who else would be in the Suite?

"Good morning," he whispers in my ear, and I get a shiver as his voice comes out husky and hoarse - but in a very, very attractive way.

"Good morning," I reply back, leaning into him.

He rests his head on my shoulder, and I could feel his breath on my neck. "The sun's shining, the birds are chirping, and what are we going to do on this glorious day?"

I tilt my head to the side, pondering. "Hm ... Well, it is Halloween. Maybe we could just spend the day relaxing, watching scary movies and eating popcorn? We could even go down to the pool."

I could feel his head move, and I knew he was nodding in agreement. "I don't have any meetings, but I promised my sister that I give her a call."

He removes his head off my shoulder as he glances down at his watch. "Actually, I should probably do it now. She'll be going to work in an hour ... if I'm doing my math correctly."

I turn in his arms, smiling up at him. "Alright, then let's give her a call."

"Let's?" He asks, raising an eyebrow, but I could see a ghost of a smile on his lips. "You mean you want to talk to her with me?"

I nod. "If I can. If you want me too."

"Okay, let's give her a call."

"Will!" Shouts Samantha excitedly as she blows strands of her hair out of her face. Behind her I could see a little boy running around in what I could only assume was the living room.
