Hey, my name is Luna and my life wasn't like any other. If I had to choose words to describe my life it would be confusing, messy, and rough.

Since I was born I had nobody that loved me. Or that's what I think because I was left at an orphanage when I was just three years old

I was lucky though. I had a great education and a roof over my head.

I'm a loner who wears hoodies to cover my face and I use the few dollars I get from my work to get more tattoos.

I'm turning 18 soon and I haven't even been placed at any home once in my life which I'm glad about because it made my reality better. We will never get any happily ever endings.

I see people come and go and I am always glad that I wasn't one of those people. I don't want someone's love. I don't want a family or anything to be honest

I love pain and the feeling of never being wanted it's just how I grew up. I don't show emotions and I don't care about anyone else than myself.

The nuns, the priest, and the other kids in this place stay far away from me because my face never shows anything. They say I'm a curse, a demon, the child of Satan

It's funny actually.

Last night I worked late at the cafe because it was busy and when I got to the church the doors were locked

I sigh and leaned against the door as the rain flew down me making me shocking wet

We have strict rules here and the time they lock the doors is no exception

I slid down the doors and looked up at the moon and smiled as the rain fell

I felt at peace for some reason. I couldn't explain it but it was soothing. The rain, the moon shining through the dark clouds

I was so lost in thought I didn't see the car stopping

"Hey, are you okay!" I heard someone yell over the heavy rain

I looked at a guy standing near the car and glared at him

"Hey, I'm asking you a question. Are you okay? Why are you outside in the rain?!" He asked louder

"I'm fine," I said

"You sure you're going to catch a cold darling," Another guy said as he got out of the car

"I'm fine," I said again and looked at them

"Darling come on we can give you a ride home," The guy said

"I live here," I said and then looked back at the moon

"You're an orphan?" The first guy asked

"Yeah!" I said before looking at them

The guy who called me darling was now standing in front of me

"Locked the doors already?" he asked and I nodded my head.

"Come on you can stay at our place for the night. You can't stay out here darling. There are a lot of creeps out here," He said and held out his hands for me

"Thanks but I'll be fine," I said and added, "I love the rain and darkness,"

"I'm not taking a no darling. My father wanted to ask if you are okay because you are alone here and now that we know we are offering you help. Come on you can't refuse," He said

"Look I'm a stranger to all of you I could be a killer and you are a stranger to me how do I know you aren't killers of sex trafficators?" I said

"Fair. I'm Diego," He said and held out his hand for me
