Chapter Thirty-One

When I heard what happened Allie, the kids and I rushed to the med mansion. Once we got there Matteo was outside holding our little girl

I immediately ran to him and took her in my arms

"Thank the gods. Where are Diego and Julia?" I asked

"Julia is dead. Her skull was bashed in. Diego is in serious danger. They don't think he'll survive," Matteo said hugging me

"God," I said just as our kids came to stand in front of us

"Diego is out of surgery. He has brain function but he's not out of the woods yet," Hades said coming out

"How is everyone?" I asked following Hades in

"Stressing," Hades said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and add, "Everything will be fine,"

I nodded my head and followed Hades into the waiting room they had with the kids, Allie and Matteo following us

Dad hugged the kids before he kissed me on my head saying, "Thanks for bringing them,"

"Of course," I said and hugged him tightly

"Have someone checked Bellamy out?" I asked Matteo

"Yeah our little girl is fine," Matteo said sitting down next to Grandpa and picking up the twins before placing them on his lap

"This is my fault," He said

"Don't. Don't you dare blame yourself or that little girl? Diego will be fine and he'd be pissed if you played the blame game," Dad said pissed

"I should have sent guards with them," Matteo said

"Who would have been killed as well," Grandpa said

"You don't know that," Matteo said

"The truck that rammed into them was made for the guards. They would have pushed the car until it hit the tree on the other side. Plus there were two trucks just waiting for her," Grandpa said making me hold Bellamy a bit closer

"Mom mind if I hold her?" Emilio asked

I nodded my head and let Bellamy out of my arms. He held her like a pro since he knew how to hold babies from all the practice he had from hiking his baby brothers

Nico started crying so I picked him up and rocked the one-year-old to sleep

"Daddy, what happened?" Xavier asked talking for the first time and I meant it. Sure he babbled as a baby but not often and he just never talked to us only whispered into his twin's ears making Xander tell us what they wanted

"Well, Uncle Diego was in a car accident bud. He was pretty badly injured," Matteo said

"Will he be okay?" Xavier asked close to tears

"He will your uncle is a tough man. Even when he was younger he bounced back quickly," Dad said

"Promise Grandpa?" Xander asked

"I-i promise," Dad said before turning away from them as tears fell from his eyes

Allie saw this too so she gave Ace their baby and hugged dad

"You can go see him now," The doc said opening the door

"We'll keep the kids here go," I said to Matteo as he placed the twins down

He nod his head and kissed me just as Emilio and the triplets said, "We want to go in as well,"

"Boys no," Matteo said
