After what felt like an eternity, the police concluded their initial investigation and left the mansion, promising to keep the family informed of any progress in the case. As the rest of the family dispersed to their rooms, Y/n and Seokjin found themselves back in the study, seeking solace and privacy.

Seokjin was the first to break the silence, his voice low and pensive. "This is not just a coincidence, Y/n. Jiwoo was involved in something, and someone wanted to silence her."

Y/n took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. "We need to be cautious. We can't trust anyone until we figure out who's behind all of this."

Seokjin's eyes bore into hers, determination shining through. "I won't let anything happen to you, Y/n. We'll get to the bottom of this, I promise."

As they delved deeper into their investigation, they realized that Jiwoo's phone could hold crucial information. But retrieving it without arousing suspicion was a challenge. Seokjin decided to take matters into his own hands and made a secret arrangement with one of the police officers.

Late at night, when everyone was fast asleep, Seokjin met the officer in a dimly lit alley away from prying eyes. The tension in the air was palpable as Seokjin handed a briefcase filled with a substantial amount of money to the officer.

"Remember, no one must know about this," Seokjin emphasized, his voice stern.

The officer nodded, a glint of greed in his eyes. "You can trust me, Mr. Kim. Your secret is safe with me."

Without further ado, the officer silently handed over Jiwoo's phone to Seokjin, who hid it in his coat pocket. As they parted ways, Seokjin's mind was filled with a mix of relief and anxiety. He knew that the phone might hold the key to unraveling the mystery behind Jiwoo's death and the secrets that had haunted the Kim family for so long.

Back in the mansion, Y/n awaited Seokjin's return with bated breath. When he finally entered the study, she could see the tension in his face. "Did you get it?" she asked softly.

Seokjin nodded and handed her Jiwoo's phone. "We need to be careful with this. It could hold the answers we're looking for."

Y/n and Seokjin exchanged anxious glances as they struggled to unlock Jiwoo's phone. The tension in the room intensified with each failed attempt. It seemed as though the secrets they were seeking were locked away behind an impenetrable barrier.

Just then, their attention was diverted by the sound of wailing coming from downstairs. Mrs. Kim's heart-wrenching cries echoed through the mansion, drawing everyone's concern. Y/n and Seokjin quickly abandoned their task and rushed downstairs to find Mrs. Kim surrounded by Mr. Kim, Taehyung, and Mrs. Lee, all trying to console her.

Mrs. Kim's tear-streaked face was filled with grief and despair as she lamented the loss of both Jungkook and Jiwoo. "First, my precious Jungkook, and now Jiwoo," she sobbed. "Why is fate so cruel to our family?"

Y/n's heart ached at the sight of Mrs. Kim's anguish, and she approached her gently, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I can't imagine what you're going through, Mom. We're all here for you, and we'll get through this together."

Seokjin stood by Y/n's side, offering his support as well. "We're a family, and we'll stand united in these difficult times," he said softly.

Mrs. Kim looked up at them through tear-filled eyes, her grief momentarily softened by their words. "Thank you both," she whispered, her voice trembling. "I just don't know how to bear this pain."

Y/n and Seokjin stayed with Mrs. Kim, providing comfort and solace in her moment of immense sorrow. As the night wore on, the atmosphere in the mansion remained heavy with grief and unanswered questions.

Once they were back in the study, Y/n turned her attention back to Jiwoo's phone. "We need to find a way to unlock this. It might hold crucial information about what happened to Jiwoo."

Seokjin nodded, his determination unwavering. "I'll reach out to a tech expert I know. They might be able to help us bypass the lock."

As they awaited the tech expert's response, they couldn't shake the feeling that something sinister was at play. The message warning them to stop their investigation, Jiwoo's death, and the locked phone all seemed to be interconnected.

In the days that followed, Y/n and Seokjin continued to support the Kim family through their grief, all while pursuing their investigation in secret. They were determined to unravel the mysteries surrounding Jiwoo's death and the messages they had received.

Finally, the tech expert came through, and with their help, Y/n and Seokjin managed to unlock Jiwoo's phone. They carefully went through its contents, discovering messages, photos, and videos that hinted at a deeper conspiracy within the family.

However, before they could make sense of everything, they received another chilling message on their own phones: "Stop digging. Or else."

The sinister warning sent shivers down their spines, but it only fueled their resolve to uncover the truth. They knew they were getting closer to something significant, and they couldn't turn back now.

As the days passed, the weight of their investigation bore heavily on Y/n's shoulders. Despite the risks, she was determined to find the truth for both Jiwoo's sake and the safety of her own family. But every night, as she retired to her room, the burden of the unknown became overwhelming.

One particularly gloomy evening, Y/n returned to her room after another day of searching for clues. The dim light from the bedside lamp cast shadows across the walls, adding to the somber ambiance. As she entered, she was taken aback to find Taehyung huddled on the bed, his face buried in a tear-stained pillow.

"Taehyung?" she whispered softly, her heart aching at the sight of him in distress. She rushed to his side, kneeling beside the bed, and gently placed her hand on his back. "What's wrong, love?"

Taehyung looked up, his eyes red and puffy from crying. "I just... I can't bear all of this anymore," he choked out, his voice trembling with emotion. "First, Jungkook, and now Jiwoo. It's too much, Y/n."

Y/n's heart broke for Taehyung as she pulled him into a tight embrace. "I know it's overwhelming, but we'll get through this together," she reassured him, gently rubbing his back. "We're a team, remember? And we're here for each other no matter what."

Taehyung clung to her, finding comfort in her warmth and presence. "I'm so scared, Y/n," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "Scared of losing you too."

Y/n cupped his face in her hands, making him look into her eyes. "You won't lose me, Taehyung. I promise," she said firmly. "We'll face whatever comes our way, and we'll come out of this stronger."

He nodded, tears still glistening in his eyes. "I believe you," he said, his voice filled with vulnerability.

Y/n wiped away a tear from his cheek and gave him a soft smile. "Come on, let's get some rest. Tomorrow is a new day, and we'll keep fighting for the truth," she said, trying to infuse some hope into the darkness that surrounded them.

Taehyung took a deep, shuddering breath, his sobs still escaping him. "Y/n, I can't stop thinking about what happened to Jiwoo," he confessed, his voice trembling. "I can't help but feel responsible for all of this."

Y/n's heart ached even more, knowing that Taehyung carried such a heavy burden on his shoulders. "Taehyung, none of this is your fault," she said, her voice filled with love and understanding. "We'll find out the truth together, and we'll get justice for Jiwoo. But you need to remember that you're not alone in this."

He clung to her tightly, seeking solace in her presence. "I love you so much, Y/n," he whispered between sobs.

"I love you too, Tae," she whispered back, holding him close as they found comfort in each other's arms.

In the safety of each other's embrace, Y/n and Taehyung let their emotions flow freely, finding a moment of respite from the storms that raged around them.
