The sound of crashing waves against the rocks was the only thing that accompanied Felix in his moment of anguish. He sat there, alone, defeated, feeling as if he had no control over his destiny.

He couldn't stop the tears from flowing down his face, each one carrying a hint of despair and hopelessness. The world felt like a cruel and unjust place, one where he was punished for simply loving another person.

He thought back to the time when he had first met Hyunjin. It had been here, by this very rock, where they had clicked instantly. Their differences had never seemed to matter, only the way their hearts beat in unison, the way their thoughts mirrored each other's.

But now everything felt so complicated. How could he love someone from the enemy lines? How could he be so selfish as to refuse his father's request? How could he bear the weight of a marriage he didn't want?

The wind howled louder, its cold fingers biting at Felix's skin. He shivered, realizing how alone he truly was. He had no one to turn to, no one who understood the turmoil he was experiencing.

He missed Hyunjin desperately, and the thought of starting a family with anyone other than him was agonizing. But what could he do? How could he make his father understand that love was more important than anything else?

As the night wore on, Felix's thoughts became jumbled and disorienting. He tried to think of a solution, a way out of this mess, but his mind was blank.

It wasn't until the sun began to rise on the horizon that he finally stood up, wiping away his tears. He knew he couldn't stay here forever, that he needed to face the reality of his situation. But he also knew that he couldn't do it alone.

As Felix walked home, he couldn't shake off the melancholic feeling that had settled deep inside his heart. His mind was in a fog, unable to think or focus on anything but the overwhelming sense of dread that had taken hold of him.

He missed the simplicity of his life before all of this. The days when he could run carefree on the beach, with no worries about the future. The memories felt like a distant dream, one that was fading with every passing moment.

A gust of wind picked up, blowing his hair across his face, making him stop in his tracks to clear his eyes. The ribbon on his ponytail had come undone, symbolizing his life that was now unraveling as well.

He looked around at the deserted beach, feeling small and insignificant under the vast expanse of sky and sea. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore was soothing, almost hypnotic, but it also reminded him of the turmoil within him.

Felix knew that he couldn't keep running from his problems, that he needed to face them head-on. But the thought of what lay ahead felt like an insurmountable task, like climbing a never-ending mountain.

He took a deep breath and took a step forward, feeling the cold sand crunching beneath his feet. He knew that he had to keep moving, no matter how hard it was, because he couldn't bear the thought of standing still and letting life pass him by.

As he walked, he clutched his ribbon tightly in his hand as a reminder that, no matter what happened, he was still in control of his own destiny.

Felix felt a chill run down his spine as he heard the whisper of his name. He looked around, trying to find the source of the voice. When he saw the maid making her way towards him, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief.

She handed him two beautiful sunflowers, shining like the sun itself, and explained that the flowers were a gift from the goddess Gaia, which left Felix a little confused. He didn't really believe in gods or goddesses knowing about his existence, but the maid seemed sincere.

He thanked her politely and watched as she scampered off, disappearing into the streets. He inspected the flowers closely, admiring their beauty, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

He wondered if the gift had any hidden meaning, if it was a sign of things to come. But he quickly shook those thoughts away, feeling silly for entertaining such notions.

Felix took a deep breath and closed his eyes, feeling the soft petals of the sunflowers in his hand. He felt a sense of calm wash over him, almost as if the flowers had a soothing effect on his troubled mind.

He decided to bring the sunflowers inside, where he placed them on the bedroom table. They looked beautiful in the morning sunlight, their yellow petals radiating with warmth and happiness.

Felix felt a twinge of hope in his chest, wondering if maybe, just maybe, this was a sign that things would get better. For a moment, he allowed himself to believe that there was a purpose behind the gift, a reason why it had been delivered to him in the dead of night.

He smiled softly to himself, the hope in his heart pushing him forward. While he couldn't predict the future, he knew that he would face it with his head held high, the strength of the sunflowers giving him courage.

He was curious about the maid's words. Was it just a coincidence, or was there really some significance to the sunflowers being a gift from the goddess Gaia?

He tried to recall everything he knew about the goddess Gaia, but his mind drew a blank.

But for some reason, he had an unexplainable feeling that this wasn't the last he would hear or see of the goddess Gaia. And as he went to bed that night, he fell into a deep sleep, eager to see what the goddess had in store for him.
