As fleeting as a summer breeze
The pain of loss lingers so
It starts with such joy and glee
We bask in the warmth of its light
But it's gone, so quickly it seems
The memories remain in our hearts
But the feelings of love are all gone
The pain of its loss slowly starts
Love comes and love goes
Leaving us with nothing but grief
A shadow of what once was known
