The snow was falling cold and bleak
A chill wind blew across my cheek
The winter took my life away
My death came swift, no time to pray
The fading light as darkness crept
The snowfall deep, my spirit wept
My heart was broken, my life had ceased
My body lay in snow, deceased
The winter had come and taken me
My soul left alone, I could not see
The hope for life was gone with me
And the winter killed me silently
