Oh poems of love, so bittersweet
Words so pure, yet filled with grief
Each line a dagger to my heart
Reminding me of what we had to depart

Your verses once brought me joy
But now they only make me cry
For the love we shared is now destroyed
And all that's left are these poems, oh how I sigh

With every rhyme, I feel the pain
Of a love that couldn't sustain
And though I try to forget and move on
My heart still longs for what is gone

Oh poems of love, why do you taunt
With memories of a love I once flaunt
I wish I could tear you all apart
But your words will forever haunt

So I'll keep these poems of love
As a reminder of what I've lost
For they may bring tears to my eyes
But they also hold a love that can't be tossed
