Coldest Christmas

The streets are empty, the night is dark
The snow falls silently, no sound, no spark
The lights are dim, the decorations bare
The coldest Christmas, with no one to share

The fire in my heart has long gone out
The coldness surrounds me, there is no doubt
The memories of warmth, now just a dream
This Christmas, everything's not as it seems

The laughter and joy, they seem so far
The distance between us, like a cold, icy scar
No hugs, no kisses, no love to hold
The coldest Christmas, my heart feels so cold

The presents are wrapped, but they hold no cheer
For the one I love is no longer here
The tree stands tall, but it's lost its glow
This Christmas, my tears seem to flow

The snow keeps falling, but I feel no delight
For the coldest Christmas, has taken my light
The warmth of the season, now just a chill
This Christmas, my heart feels so still

As I sit alone, in this cold, empty room
I pray for warmth, for love to bloom
But the coldest Christmas, has taken its toll
Leaving me with nothing, but a broken soul
