PORCHAY'S POV

I stepped out of the restaurant and was greeted by the sight of Sean leaning casually against our car, a hint of intrigue in his eyes.

"I thought you were back at the house. What brings you here?" I inquired, feeling a sense of curiosity tinged with suspicion.

With a wry smile, Sean replied, "I was indeed at the house, Khun Porchay. But here's the kicker – we've got ourselves a neighbor."

My eyebrows shot up in surprise. "A neighbor? Since when?" I questioned, my confusion mounting with each passing moment.

Sean's voice carried a tone of mystery as he continued, "Miss Amanda, she just bought the house next door, right around the same time we landed here." His words hung in the air, leaving a tantalizing question mark – was it a mere coincidence or a meticulously orchestrated plan?

A surge of unease washed over me, and I decided it was time to consult with Lung Korn.

"Hold on a moment, Sean. I've got a laundry list of tasks piling up here. I'd rather not linger. Let me call Lung Korn and see if he knows anything about this."

With a nod of understanding, Sean patiently waited as I dialed Lung Korn's number, the anticipation building with each ring.

"Hello, Khrup. Did you know that we've acquired a new neighbor?" I inquired urgently.

Lung Korn's voice carried a note of concern as he replied, "No, Porchay, the last time I checked, that property was vacant. Is there a problem? Should I dispatch Chan to investigate?"

I shook my head, opting for caution.

"There's no need for that, Khrup. We can handle it for now. I'm just perplexed because she moved in right after we arrived here. I'll keep you posted if anything unusual occurs. Thanks, Khrup," I said before ending the call.

As I pondered the mysterious newcomer next door, my mind buzzed with questions. What were her intentions? Did I know her from somewhere?

Turning to Sean, who was engrossed in his phone, I asked, "Sean, does Miss Amanda ring a bell? Is she familiar to you?" The air was thick with curiosity as we delved deeper into the enigma that had suddenly become our neighbor.

I continued to watch Sean's face, hoping to catch any hint of recognition. He finally looked up from his phone, a thoughtful expression on his face.

"Actually, now that you mention it, she does look vaguely familiar," Sean admitted. "But I can't quite place where I might have seen her before, Khrup."

I frowned, deep in thought. It was unusual for someone to move in next door so suddenly, especially in a remote location like this. I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease about the situation.

"We need to find out more about her," I said firmly. "Let's not jump to conclusions, but it wouldn't hurt to do some digging. We should find out who she is, where she's from, and why she chose to move here."

Sean nodded in agreement. "You're right, Khun. We shouldn't jump to conclusions, but we should also be cautious. I'll see what I can find online about her."

As Sean began his online search, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Miss Amanda than met the eye. I had learned to trust my instincts over the years, and they were telling me that something wasn't quite right about this situation.

But for now, all we could do was gather information and keep a watchful eye on our new neighbor. Little did we know that our lives were about to take an unexpected turn, and Miss Amanda would become a significant part of the mysteries and challenges that lay ahead.
