You gazed down through the pouring rain, shielding your eyes from the heavy droplets at Jean as he stood below your window, slightly illuminated by the dim security light. Water streamed down his chiseled features and dripped from his disheveled auburn hair. He wore a soaked, plain white t-shirt that clung to his body. He stared up at you as you leaned through your sheer curtains over the windowsill.

"Jean? What are you doing here?" You whisper shouted down to him. He put his hand to his ear indicating that he couldn't hear you

You repeated yourself slightly louder but the storm was still raging and your voice wasn't any match for it. You were attempting to not gain your dad's attention by being too loud.

"You're gonna have to speak up" Jean shouted loudly up at you through cupped hands with a grin. You immediately shushed him and put your hand to your forehead and shook it in frustration but a slight smile began to tug the corners of your lips in the midst of this awful day.

"Catch me?" You said back at him, loud enough for him to hear you this time.

He extended his arms outwards and readied himself below your window.

"I thought you were scared of heights, princess?" He said teasingly. You rolled your eyes and swung your legs over your windowsill and sat there for a moment, you hesitated but you knew you could trust Jean so you psyched yourself up and closed your eyes as you pushed yourself off and fell from the second floor, in an instant you opened your eyes to see yourself in Jean's big arms, as he gazed down at you through strands of his hair. He then set you onto your feet.

"You okay?" He asked in a low voice.

"I'm okay, but there's something inside I need." You said

"So your plan was to sneak out of the house and then break back in?" He asked with furrowed brows

"It's a long story." You said and you began marching towards the front door. You figured your dad would be asleep on the recliner at this time, as usual. Before you could place your hand on the knob, you felt Jeans strong hand on your arm, holding you back.

"Maybe you shouldn't go back in there." He said with a serious tone.

"I need my phone." You replied.

"We can get you a new one" Jean said

"I don't want him going through this one, okay? Just let me do what I need to do." You said with a hint of irritation, unintentionally.

Jean released your arm, but his long legs easily placed him between you and the door in one stride. He towered over you as he placed his hands on your shoulders.

"I'll find it." He said

You shook your head in protest but he didn't hesitate before walking into your fathers home and closing the door gently behind him.

You went to go after him but stopped yourself. You waited anxiously sitting on the doorstep, listening intently for any sign of trouble inside but it was silent. After a while you heard the door knob turn and you stood and watched as Jean emerged from your old home with your phone in his hand as he waved it proudly.

"Now let's get out of here." Jean said as he handed your phone to you.

You nodded and followed him back to his car, he opened the door for you then he jogged over to the drivers side and climbed in. He was completely soaked which made you laugh as you looked over at him dripping all over his black leather seats.

"What's so funny?" He said with a chuckle. Then he pulled his sopping t-shirt over his head and threw it in the back seat, You felt your cheeks turn red as you saw his defined abs on full display and his broad muscular chest, he was built like a greek statue. You turned your head to look out the window at the rain to hide your face.

He placed his big hand on the shoulder of your seat as he grabbed his hoodie from the back.

"Are you cold?" He asked as he held the black hoodie in his arms.

"No, I'm alright." You replied, turning to look at him, you didn't realize you had goosebumps all over your legs.

"Liar." He said with a smirk before he threw the hoodie at you, landing straight over your head and he laughed. You grabbed the hoodie and slipped it over your head, it smelled like him, the warm vanilla cologne you had grown so fond of. You pulled your hair out of the collar and let it fall over your shoulders. You noticed he was looking at you and you laughed.

"What?" You asked him, crossing your arms.

"Nothing." He said with a slight smile spread across his lips as he turned back straight and put his car into gear and pulled off onto the road.

"Staring at me for fun then?" You asked him teasingly.

"You just look cute in my clothes." He replied casually and you felt your cheeks turn pink and you looked down at your feet. Then you heard your favorite song come on the radio and you sat up excitedly and reached for the knob, turning the volume all the way up and began singing your heart out. Jean laughed as he glanced over at you and you watched him sing the lyrics with you.

As the song came to an end Jean handed you his phone.

"You can play whatever you want. The code is 1256" He said and your eyes widened slightly at the fact he told you his phone code and a slight smile met your face as you opened his spotify and queued a few more songs. Each of which, you sang along to and he would join in after hearing the chorus a couple times, which you thought was sweet. You finally felt good, and you wished this car ride would last all night.
