chapter 2 "a seed of friendship"

6:34 AM it was finally morning, Kier barely slept so he was back at the spot early.. but this time he had taken a 'few' things with him. Kier got dressed in some usual spring clothes, of course though they were different from Air dragons clothing or Elven clothing since well.. Fire dragons had giant wings and spikes along their backs. He put on some sweatpants that were also specially made for Kiers tail. He grabbed his bags and ran over to his and Devs spot.

Kier sat himself on the ground, setting his bag down as he awaited Dev's arrival.

7:12 AM, Dev was on his way to Kier, he was rushing since he wanted to be there first.. even though he wouldn't. Because Kier was already there. What a shame. Dev sensed the strong warmth coming from a certain direction. He rushed over, tackling Kier as he lunged himself from the water and onto the land where Kier was. Dev hugged Kier tightly, nearly crushing him.

"COUGH DEV GET OFF!" Kier squirmed under Dev, trying to get the giant water snake boy off of him. Dev laughed as he got off of Kier, towering over him again. "Alright, alright,, sorry Keir." Dev pat Kiers head softly, before leaning down and gently kissing his forehead, causing Kier to freeze up from confusion."WH-..?" Kier shouted in confusion as he backed up. "What? It wasn't on the lips and I didn't use my tongue! I call it a friend kiss." Dev smiled, petting Kiers head and horns softly.

Kier leaned into Devs touch, his tail was... Gently wagging? Kier was enjoying the touch.

"I need more water, I'll be back, Kier." Dev said as Kier looked up at him with a soft smile. "Alright" he said in a response to Dev, watching as the Sea serpent slithered back into the deep blue sea. It only took a few minutes before Dev rose back up from the beautiful Ocean.

Kier had been digging a small hole in the dirt near the water when Dev had come back up. "What are you doing?" Asked Dev, who had been watching from the clear yet dark water. "I'm digging a hole to plant a seed." Kier said in response as he grabbed something out of his bag. He pulled out a Sakura seed, it had already gone through the 2 main steps for germination. Kier plants the seed and began to bury it.

"It's going to grow into a beautiful tree, and it will mark the spot where we first met! So we can visit this place when we're a little older." Kier finished planting the seed and turned to the water, where Dev had been, his curly hair slowly but surely drying in the warm, fresh spring air.

"So.. it's going to mark the beginning of our friendship? Like the seed will represent the start, and as the seed grows out friendship will too?" Dev asked, tilting his head up at Kier who had been nodding happily at Dev's question. "this means we will promise to always stick together, no matter what gets in the way of our friendship!" Kier offered his hand to Dev. Dev took Kier's hand. "Promise?" Kier asked. "Promise." Dev said just before he smiled brightly up at Kier before he made a large splash with his tail on the water.

Kier quickly covered his face, slightly laughing "Hey! Dev stop!!" He said as Dev kept splashing water everywhere. "Okay but actually stop now I'm getting very wet-" Dev stopped and laughed before speaking. "Wanna see something cool?" He said, getting ready to dunk himself underwater. "Sure, as if you could actually do something cool." Kier chuckled, watching as Dev disappeared into the deep blue sea, no more Dev could be seen by Kier. Kier waited for Dev to return. Soon he saw something happening. It was like a sort of.. dance. But it was in the water and it was with Dev's tail. Kier watched, as if mesmerized by the strange movements in the water.

Suddenly Kier was junpscared by the sight of Dev who looked like he was going to eat Kier's face off. Kier covered his face and stomach with his arms, jerking backwards from the sudden sight of Dev suddenly up his face, mouth wide open as if he were to bite Kier's entire face off. "PLEASE!" Kier shouted after the jump scare. Dev started laughing instead of actually hurting Keir, clenching his stomach as he laughed his serpent ass off. Kier realized what was going on and slapped Dev, turning away from him.
