Autumn had arrived, which means that Dev's pit had already left to find an even warmer place for the winter. Meaning he was alone without any family members or friends. Even the twins and Plata had left.
Dev didn't quite know what to do now. Yeah he could stay at the hot springs where Kier had brought him. But he could walk now! And YelloWool taught him how to transform between 'land' and 'sea'!
Though Dev was still learning how to do certain things like running, skipping, and walking without tripping over his own foot every two damn steps he was getting pretty good at living on land.
Kier had already forced himself to forget all about when he blacked out - it was pretty traumatizing hearing what he had done -. Though it still lived deeply in the regret of his flamey head.
Dev had found the clothes Kier had gifted him to use to be quite.. uncomfortable due to all of the large or painfully small holes. The tail hole was too small, he ripped most of the cloth, and it was not at all fit for his body type and species.

Dev was standing outside of Kier's home building, waiting for him to come out. It was around the time that Kier would come outside to get a break from his family.
It was not too long before Kier pushed open the large wooden door that many dragons and elves would typically enter and exit from.
"Oh- hello Dev!" Kier walked up to Dev, a soft smile appearing upon his ember dragon face as his wings fluttered. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be learning more things about the land with Yello and Boosfer?" He asked, looking up at Dev with a slightly confused yet happy face.
Dev slightly bent down, placing his hands on Kier's shoulder before speaking. "Can I live with you? We could see each other every day and I would have some place to stay!" Dev's tail wagged behind him.. or it was a very fast slither that did not touch the ground.
Kier sighed and nodded, his wings stretching out to fill extent before folding back behind him. "Yes.. I will take you up to my family's area and I will show you my room." Kier grabbed a hold of Dev's hand. "Wait.. I might have to sneak you in, alright? So just follow my lead." Kier led Dev through the building, avoiding a lot of people.
Eventually they had made it to Kier's room, Dev sitting himself on the floor, looking at Kier who sat on his bed instead.
"We are going to need to get you some actual clothes some time, Dev.." Kier spoke with another soft sigh somewhere in the mix of his fourteen word sentence.
Dev shrugged and nodded. "Mhm, there are holes where I do not need them." He looked around Keir's room, being able to notice quite a bunch. Like the stained window with a picture of a large fire dragon holding an egg above its head. "Who's that?" Dev questioned, pointing to the window, his powder blue tail curling up beside him.
Kier looked at the window, his own tail hanging off of his bed, just above the creaky wooden floors.
"That is our king, his name? Nobody really remembers." Kier shrugged, his red and orange wings slightly rising along with his shoulders.
Dev snickered, grinning and showing off his sharp fangs to Kier. "You do not know the name of your own king? Isn't that disrespectful?" He asked, his tail moving to the other side of his body.
Kier rolled his eyes and scoffed lightly, though he still smiled. "Also, can you help me wash my back and wings?" Kier requested, spreading out his right wing, showing it needs to be washed.
"Okay! But- how? I don't know anything about fire dragons?" Dev tilted his head and stood up slowly, his heavy and large tail dragging along the floor as he walked over to Kier's large, circular bed.
