Kier and Dev had been transported to the Glowing island- or what they have learned is called 'Îles aux fées'.

They were placed in a cottage deep in the Fae Forest. It was a gorgeous place for anyone of any species. It was as majestic as the sky island folktales. Nobody really even knew if the sky islands were real; the people who did kept it secret. The sky islands were spoken of as the home of the dead, the home of the wind dragons who flew without wings, and the kingdom of Longwang.

Kier and Dev's cottage was comfortable, the environment was calm, and easy. There were edible fruits and foods all around them.. it was so exquisite like they were stuck in a happy ever after dream.

It was an early morning. Woodpeckers pecked at nearby trees, parrots whistled through the morning air, and even a Phoenix flew high above them, soaring to its next destination.

The sounds of the cawing, chirping, and pecking were oddly relaxing for the duo cuddled up together next to a fireplace.

The elves had gifted Kier and Dev a bed specialized for Kier's large wings and Dev's tall body.

Kier was the first to wake up, looking over and seeing Dev curled up next to him, under his wing. Kier smiled softly, slowly but surely retracting his wing.

"Dev.." He whispered in Dev's ear. "I am going to go on a walk around the cottage, I will be back soon, love you" Kier whispered before planting a soft kiss on Dev's head.

Kier got up, limping towards the cottage's kitchen which had a lot of pots, cloth, and other necessities like a furnace. Kier lit the furnace with his tail and grabbed a jar of coffee beans.

He began to grind a few coffee beans into a powder before he started to brew. He boiled the coffee in a pot over the furnace, awaiting for it to finish.

Kier closed his eyes and listened to the sounds which surrounded him.

Parrot squawk.. bubble.. boil.. woodpecker pecking at a tree.. his own breath.. Dev groaning and rolling over in their shared bed.. his tail moving against the dark wooden floors below him..

Kier opened his eyes moments later, seeing how his coffee had been done brewing over the heat of the furnace.

Kier poured a bit of water over the furnace's fire, putting it out with ease. He then grabbed the pot, pouring it into a wooden mug painted like a mushroom. He drank the dark coffee, not minding the terrible taste it provided.

Kier got up and walked outside, limping through the beautiful island forest, observing its wonders.

He found a large mossy rock and decided to sit down on it, looking around himself.

Thick, tall trees that towered over him as if he were the size of an ant looking up at a mushroom, mushrooms of all types of colors, bright green grass, blue cloudy skies reminding him of his best friend.

And Kier could swear he saw a sparkle on almost everything he looked at, no matter how disgusting or dirty it might be.

Everything was so.. majestic and effortlessly gorgeous.

It felt like Kier didn't belong there. The island was a place of beauty, fairies, growth, and green. Kier wasn't much like that. His species of destruction, chaos, domination, bloodshed. But wasn't that just the forest?

Kier closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath of the beauty surrounding him. He opened his eyes and... there was a jar of Honey sitting next to him.

"What..?" Kier looked down at it, scooting away. "Where did that come from?" He asked, stretching out his wings to the max that they could go.
