I have rewatched The Legend of Korra and now my FYP is just entirely Korrasami edits.———————————————————
(Y/N) swears that Korra is the most stubborn person she has ever met. The Fire Ferrets had won their most recent match but it hadn't been easy. It came down to a 2v3 in the last round after Korra had been knocked out by a nasty looking hit. Regardless of the very clear pain that Korra is in, she still insists on acting as though she is fine. (Y/N) is more than happy to call her out on her bullshit.
"I promise you it's nothing, (Y/N). I just took an earth disk to the ribs, no big deal." Korra claims, attempting to continue packing her bag but interrupting herself with a wince of pain.
"Let me look at it." (Y/N) orders, her hands moving to pull the hem of Korra's shirt up.
"I don't need you to baby me, (Y/N). I'm fine." Korra protests, grabbing a hold of her hands to move them away.
"I wasn't asking, Korra. Sit." She gives her a slight glare, causing Korra to immediately take a seat on the bench. "Roll your shirt up, I'll be back in a moment."
(Y/N) heads to the edge of the change room and turns the sink on. Using her water bending she takes control of the stream, moving it into a small bucket before turning the tap back off. Walking back towards Korra and sitting beside her, she moves the water to surround Korra's clearly bruised ribs.
"It certainly doesn't look fine." (Y/N) mutters, eyes trained on the bruising surrounding Korra's chest.
The second the water makes contact, Korra releases a sigh, the tension releasing from her body. (Y/N) expertly moves the healing water over and around Korra's chest, trying to reduce the bruising as much as possible. Her fingers gingerly graze over the area, causing Korra to wince and jerk away ever so slightly. (Y/N) mutters a quiet apology before continuing her work, being much more cautious as she did.
"I just didn't want you to worry." Korra finally speaks up after the minutes of silence become too much for her.
"You're the Avatar and I care about you, I'm always going to worry." (Y/N) answers instantly, continuing to work on the bruise.
"Well I know that but I don't want you to worry more." She explains further, moving her hands for emphasis which bumps (Y/N) and causes her to drop the water. "Sorry."
(Y/N) wastes no time in bending more water to heal her. "I worry more when you try to keep things from me. As much as you try to appear to be, you're not invincible, Korra."
"I know, I know, I just can't help it. I want to be strong," she admits, her head dropping as she looks away. She shifts her gaze to meet (Y/N)'s eyes, a rare vulnerability being found within them, "especially for you."
(Y/N) sighs and drops the water back into the bucket, moving closer to Korra. She gently cups her face and Korra immediately leans into the touch. She holds her gaze, offering a soft smile. Korra leans in and presses her forehead against (Y/N)'s, the two enjoying the close proximity.
"You are strong, Korra. So incredibly strong. But that doesn't mean that you should hide when you're hurting." (Y/N) reassures her, stroking her thumb across Korra's cheek.
"Thanks," Korra pulls (Y/N)'s hand away from her cheek and places a soft kiss in her palm. "You really are amazing, you know that?"
"I know," She pulls away with a bright smile. "Now promise me that you won't hide stuff like this from me anymore."
"I promise." Korra knows better than to try and argue with her on this.
"Good." She gives a bright smile and a quick kiss to Korra's forehead before standing up. She reaches down for the bucket and begins to move away.
"Noooooo, come back, your healing felt so nice." Korra protests, reaching out and grabbing (Y/N)'s wrist.
"Don't be needy, I've already healed you as much as I can." She laughs at Korra's reaction, putting the bucket down.
"But it's still sore, (Y/N)." Korra pouts, looking at her partner with pleading eyes.
"What happened to not needing me to baby you?" (Y/N) teases.
"It's not babying. I've been wounded and need my amazing girlfriend to aid me in my recovery." Korra claims, clearly dramatising her current state.
(Y/N) rolls her eyes in response, an amused scoff being heard from her. A small blush creeps across her face at Korra calling her her girlfriend. They've been dating for a little over a month now but the title still seems surreal.
"Does the great and powerful Avatar Korra need me to kiss it better?" (Y/N) jokes, placing her hands on Korra's knees and leaning down to her level. Her actions cause Korra to turn away with a slight grumble, clearly flustered.
(Y/N) was fully expecting a playful shove from Korra at her teasing remark. Instead, Korra decided that she was fully capable of teasing (Y/N) right back. Korra gently held (Y/N)'s chin and tilted her head down towards her.
"An actual kiss would be appreciated too." she flirts, leaning closer, their noses brushing.
(Y/N) is more than happy to grant Korra's request. She tilts her head, their lips ghosting each other's but not quite touching. They both close their eyes, fully immersed in the moment until–.
"Korra? You in there? I wanted to talk team strategy with you." Their peaceful moment is interrupted by the unwelcomed sound of Mako's voice.
The two girls suddenly pull apart, clearly annoyed at the interruption. (Y/N) ducks her head in the crook of Korra's neck, embarrassed by the intrusion.
Korra glares at the closed door Mako was behind. "Not now, Mako!"
Without responding, rushed footsteps are heard retreating from the area. Once they are sure that he is gone, Korra and (Y/N) turn back to face each other. The moment of silence is interrupted when (Y/N) can no longer contain her giggles. It doesn't take long for her giggles to turn into full laughter and Korra to join her.
(Y/N) finally stops her laughter and pulls away fully. "We probably should get going though."
Korra throws her head back in mock frustration. "Noooooooo. Can't we just stay here forever?" she pleads, attempting to give (Y/N) her best pout.
(Y/N) shakes her head and picks the water bucket off the floor. "In a sweaty, dirty changing room?"
Korra pulls away further, remembering their surroundings. The room has clearly not been cleaned in a long time and has a mysterious odour.
She nods in agreement. "Good point."
"Exactly. Hurry up and get changed," (Y/N) orders, putting the bucket away. She moves towards the doorway and turns back towards Korra. "We need to get back to Air Temple Island."
Korra looks at her hopefully. "Then we can continue this?"
"Obviously."
