Penny can hardly stand still, filled to the brim with pure joy and excitement. Despite Atlas' artificial climate usually keeping snow out of the city, the council allows light snow to fall in spirit of the holiday season.
This is Penny's first Christmas as a real girl and she's incredibly excited to finally experience the feeling of snow on her face.
(Y/N) opens the door and steps into the snowfall, spinning around with a smile on her face. Penny doesn't follow her at first, instead outstretching her hand and letting a few snowflakes fall onto her palm.
Penny's eyes shine with excitement and wonder as she takes in every detail of the snowflake's designs while they melt upon her warm palm.
"You coming or what?" (Y/N) smiles at her, hand outstretched for her to take.
Penny happily accepts the offer, grabbing (Y/N)'s hand and stepping out into the never ending light blanket of snow.
A singular snowflake falls onto Penny's nose and she becomes completely fixated on it. She's fascinated by the contrast of the snow on her face compared to the warmth of (Y/N)'s hand in her own.
Penny turns to (Y/N) , her eyes sparkling, "Do humans always get to experience this magic every winter?"
(Y/N) nods "Well, not everyone, but those in places where it snows. It's my favourite part of the holiday season."
Penny gives (Y/N)'s hand a light squeeze before letting go, opting to dance around in the snow instead. Her laughter fills the air as she spins around the small courtyard, snowflakes covering her hair.
A particularly chilly breeze blows through and Penny can't help but shiver. She quickly wraps her arms around herself in an attempt to keep warm.
(Y/N) of course notices the other girl's discomfort. "You feeling a little cold, Penny?"
Penny's rubs her arms and nods. "I think so, I'm not really used to actually being able to feel cold."
(Y/N) laughs just a little as she takes off her jacket, draping it over Penny's shoulders.
"That better?" (Y/N) asks, ignoring her own feelings of the winter breeze.
Penny gives a large grin in response, nodding and giving (Y/N) the biggest hug she can.
"It's perfect."
