Y/n's POV

Finally some time for myself, weekend began. Me and Vergie were at home. She was in the kitchen cooking, while I was sitting in the bedroom, translating next song in German. I kept whistling the melody, as I read through the lyrics over and over again, to get them in my head.

-Mir ist kein Preis zu hoch um dich zu sehen... - I sang and grinned.

I closed the notebook with the lyrics, got up from the desk and headed to the kitchen. I already knew that sneaking up behind her wasn't the best idea, so I made my presence known by clearing my throat, and then I wrapped my arms around Vergilia's waist. She leaned into me.

-Are you done with the song? - sh easked.

-Yes. - I nodded. - And I needed to see you, so here I am. Can I help you with something? - I asked.

She was way better than me at cooking, most likely Eva's school, but from time to time Vergie allowed me to help around. I enjoyed that, it was just another way of bonding time for us.

-You have to prove me you learned something first. - she said. Ah yeah, if I was too lazy to learn, she would remind me.

-Let's see... - I thought about the whole line I memorized. When it came up in my mind, I let my "German I" to take over. - Für mich ist gestern wertlos und morgen ganz egal, solange du mir versprichst dass du mich halten kannst.

-Wow, that was a lot. -Vergilia praised me. - Come, I will hold you Kitten.

I chuckled and allowed her to turn in my arms, before she gave me a tight hug, which I returned. We pulled away after a moment, before Vergie got back to cooking.

-Since you did so well with your small lesson, you can help me now. - she said. - Could you peel and cut garlic?

-Sure. - I nodded and grabbed the knife.

She already had the garlic on the counter. I smirked, seeing quite a lot of it. Another thing we have in common. Please, let me marry her right now. I smiled wider at the thought and got to work. I took are of some tasks until my phone rang. I washed my hands and raised my eyebrow as I saw it was my mother's number.

-Who's that? - Vergie asked.

-My mother. - I said.

-What are you waiting for?- she looked at me. - Answer.

-I don't know if I want to. - I let out a heavy sigh.

-Answer and see what she wants. - Vergilia urged me.

I took a deep breath and answered the call. My mother asked me how I was and all, but I just cut it short. I asked her what did she want and I must admit her next words surprised me. They actually sounded genuine.

-I wanted to apologize for everything. - she said. - I was sure I could control you and that you won't be able to stand on your feet in life. I'm proud to see that you can, and that you have a valuable girl by your side. Vergilia is really a treasure and I hope you see that.

-I do. - I answered.

-Good. - my mother continued. - If you also wanted to come back to me, you can anytime.

-Thanks, but I'm content with Vergie here. - was my answer.

I talked to my mother for a bit more, it was actually the most peaceful conversation I had with her in years. Once we hung up I put my phone away and turned to Vergilia. She eyed me up and down.

-How was it? - she asked.

-Interesting change on her side. - I said. - She apologized and all. She events wants me to come back to her house.

-Do you want to? -Vergilia hugged me.

-No. - my answer came right away. - I have my home here. Do you want me to go?

-Of course not. - Vergilia looked up at me. - And my dad would ask, what possessed me to kick you out. Then he would most likely tell me to get you back. - she chuckled, making me chuckle as well. - Come, the food is ready.
