"i saw him at the studio ! hes actually kinda funny in person too" xiomara spoke as the two walked on set. xiomara was filming a music video and dragged hazel along for emotional support. it was her first music video as an official artist and they were beyond nervous.
"who ? dominic" hazel questioned as they sat behind the camera while the director was gone admiring the equipment. "yeah i got his number, i want you to meet him. we can all hang out" they went on tugging on their jeans that were a little tighter than they'd like.
hazel shrugged "i mean, i don't mind. i'm busy literally all week except saturday though, pre-production" and xiomara just smiled before kissing hazel's cheek.
it wasn't that hazel disliked dominic, it was just that they didn't know him and after everything with imani they really didn't want to deal with another man in their space. they knew it was silly but they could move past it for xiomara.
for the rest of the day, hazel watched as xiomara filmed. cheering her on and supporting her as much as she could as well as studying the director. directing had always been an interest of theirs one they felt they could never obtain but as the time passed by and they paid closer attention it felt like, maybe this could be their new calling.
