Since she had no idea where Eric's office was, she resorted to asking the nurses at the desk who pointed her in the right direction. She thanked them then shuffled off down the hall. The door was ajar when she reached it, and she wondered whether she still needed to knock. When she peeked through the crack, she saw him seated behind a large wooden desk with a polished glass top, making notations on a chart. More than likely her own. "Um...sir?"

Eric looked up upon hearing her voice. "Yes, Amy, you may come in," he replied.

Pushing the door open, she stepped into the spacious office, taking a moment to look around. Eric was definitely an art buff. There was a mirror, a couple framed diplomas and more paintings. They were hanging on the walls in gold frames, just like the notable one in the exam room. There was also a few medium sized statues: a white plaster bust of a woman's head tilted back, very Art Deco, and two busts of nude women. One of them was a marble of a woman on her knees, no surprise there, and the other looked more mythological. A two shelf bookcase sat behind him against the wall and against the far right wall, was a black leather sofa.

"Wow," she said softly, lowering herself into one of the padded black arm chairs in front of his desk, crossing one leg over the other. "You're really the art buff, huh sir?"

"I am." Eric glanced over his shoulder at the art work that surrounded him. "Surprised?"

"A little." She pointed over at one of the naked women busts on the bookshelf, "is that Aphrodite?"

Now it was his turn to be surprised, his brows arching immediately. "You know your Greek mythology, I'm impressed."

"I took an art history class one semester," she said with a shrug, "but I don't remember much. Just bits and pieces."

His eyes lit up with a smile. "Ohh...looks like you might need a refresher course. Maybe I'll take you to a museum or gallery one of these days and put you to the test."

She perked up with a smile. "Really? I would love that."

"Only if you're a good girl. It would be premature for me to reward you when you don't deserve it."

The smile vanished from her face but she nodded her head, looking over the things on his desk when he went back to writing. There was a flat screen computer, office phone, a couple file trays, a rubber band ball, pen holder, a sex-position-a-day desk calendar and three framed photos. One was a 5x7 and the others were 4x6. However, since they were turned to face him, she couldn't see who they were of.

Finally, he put his pen down and leaned back in his seat. "So, let's talk about the results of your exam."

She swallowed hard, shifting restlessly in her seat. "Am I...okay, sir, I mean, doctor?"

"You're fine, but...I do have some concerns."

Uh oh...

He grabbed her chart and looked it over. "Your blood pressure is one of them. It seems to fluctuate every now and then, and after what happened at the restaurant last night, I think we should keep an eye on it."

Her inner walls clenched instinctively. "K–Keep an eye on it, sir?"

"Check on it every so often. I've got a manual cuff at home, so we'll add it to your daily routine." A cocky smile slowly spread across his face. "And since playing doctor makes you so wet, I doubt you'll have a problem with me doing that."

"I–I-okay, sir." When his expression turned grave and he arched a brow at her, she suddenly realized her mistake. "Yes, sir."

"That's better." He looked back down at the chart with that familiar stitch in his brows and wrinkled forehead. "I already talked to you about your ears. I'd like to see those cleaned a little better. Everything else in your physical was normal, but I didn't have a chance to get a temp on you or test your vision."
