Love is weird.

Love is an intricate labyrinth, a web spun from the whims of emotion and desire. It's a tapestry woven with threads of inexplicable attraction and deep-seated affection. Yet, within this tangled construct, there exists an intriguing distinction between being in love and merely loving someone.

The former, 'being in love', feels akin to being ensnared by an all-consuming obsession, an irresistible pull toward another soul. It's a wild rollercoaster ride of passion and fervor, where emotions surge like untamed waves crashing against the shores of the heart. This intense state captivates the mind, painting the world in vibrant hues and infusing each moment with heightened significance.

Contrastingly, 'loving someone' resides in a tranquil, serene space—an enduring affection that transcends the tempestuous tides of infatuation. It's a deep-rooted connection, a bond fortified by shared experiences, trust, and a genuine appreciation of the other person. This form of love emanates a soothing warmth, offering solace and comfort even in the darkest of hours.

Navigating the realms of love, whether engulfed in the whirlwind of 'being in love' or cherishing the steadfastness of 'loving someone', leads one down divergent paths, each unveiling a unique facet of the human heart.

They traverse the labyrinthine corridors of the boiler room, a trio consisting of Oscar, Daryl, and Madeleine, their footsteps echoing amidst the metallic creaks resonating through the space. Madeleine, watchful and vigilant, keeps her gaze darting across each open space, determined to avert any potential danger lurking in the shadows.

Carl, left behind at the cell block to tend to their infant sister, understands his older sister's anguish. Determined to provide whatever comfort he can, he feels a newfound sense of maturity after the tragic events involving Lori.

As they proceed, the clinking of metal catches their attention, drawing them closer to the source of the sound. Madeleine remains alert, scanning every corner and open area around them, ensuring they won't fall into any unforeseen traps set in their path.

Oscar gestures towards a nearby door, "Check it out, man. Must have missed it last night."

"It's probably just one or two of 'em. Don't look they got much fight," Daryl remarks, his gaze involuntarily drifting to Madeleine. He had spotted her red eyes when they found her in the tunnels, lost and staring into emptiness.

Madeleine, her hand firm on the sword strapped to her back, interjects, "They're not going anywhere. We'll take care of it on the way back."

Daryl nods in agreement, motioning for them to follow him. Oscar hesitates and hangs back, while Daryl can't help but glance back at Madeleine as they walk side by side. "You okay?"

Her response is devoid of emotion, "Did you get Glenn to talk to me yesterday?"

"Did he?"

"Yeah, he did." She confirms, holding his gaze for a moment. "Thank you."
