Ruby was embarrassed to say the least.

Brawley, Flannery and Wattson made a scene with his injuries. Brawley especially since he skillfully avoided attacks. Ruby did not. Flannery followed it up when a local professor went missing. He actually got pretty hurt during that time. And then there was Wattson. He was shocked, badly.

Sapphire helped him each time he dropped. After his fight with Brawley, she joined him and patched him up. When he went after the professor, she actually went in and helped him inside. And with Wattson? To say she was nice was a lie.

Ok, she burned Wattson down with just words.

She also helped him by getting him back to Petalburg on her Altaria, so he was able to challenge Norman.

Oh that was a war.

When two minds that almost think the same clash, it's normally not pretty. Sapphire watched them from the side as Ruby's Blaziken and Norman's Slaking faced off.

They regrouped after the battle outside as Norman smiled.

"That's my boy! You are climbing!" Ruby smiled big as Sapphire chuckled.

"That was the first time you didn't charge in without sending your pokemon out first." The red eyed boy rubbing his head sheepishly as Norman sighed.

"It's still a stretch." He then smiled at her. "It's good to see you, Sapphire. How's business going?" She smiled.

"Going great. It's good to be with you guys. The Masquerades are really moving up." She sighed before turning to Ruby. "I can drop you off in Fortree City so you can challenge that gym. Then I'll see you properly in Lilycove." He nodded as Norman smiled.

"Lilycove, eh? I'll meet you guys there. Get a somewhat proper Masquerades meeting going." They nodded.

Winona was the first Gym Leader to not jump him on his technique of charging in. Instead, she held her pokemon back until he sent out his Slaking, which made her send out hers.

"You act like Norman."

"I'm the miniature version of him."

"Oh great. I thought I could get away from him. This is great-" He chuckled as she sighed.
