I stepped out of the car, and almost immediately the cameras swarmed me. As I made my way, inside the airport with my suitcase, I couldn’t help but wonder – don’t these people have lives other than following celebrities around. I kept my sunglasses on, so the flashes wouldn’t blind me.

Lola and I got in line and since it was so late, there was barley a line. We checked in easily and made our way to the gate. We had another twenty minutes, so we decided to get some coffee.

As we were waiting, a man with a camera approached me. And not just the normal flash photographers, it was a full on camera man. The person beside him, I assumed was the interviewer. When she shoved the microphone in my face, I knew I was going to be questioned.

“Hi my name is Ruby Holan. I work for Liberty magazine, would it be okay if we ask you a few questions?”

I was tired, I wanted to sleep and this woman was asking me to talk with her. If I say no, they’ll be offended but I am just to exhausted to be all peppy.

“Sure.” Why did I say that?

“Great.” The interviewer beamed. “First, a lot of our readers were curious to know how you deal with work and school? Since you are one of the few young models.”

I smiled slightly. “Well, it is a challenge.” I laughed. “My schedule is maxed out to the minute. I am either doing school work, exercising, modeling or hanging out with friends. There is not much time to relax.”

“That seems like a lot.”

“Oh it is.” I laughed.

“Do you feel that it is ever a challenge?”

“No, I have a supporting family and my friends are always encouraging.” I lied.

“Also we heard that you are going to the Golden Globes with Josh Jones, is this true?”

“Yeah it is. He is a really good friend of mine.”

“What are you wearing?”

“You’ll have to wait and see.”

The interviewer laughed slightly. “Okay we have a few more questions.” Really? I nudged Lola, that was always the indication that I had had enough – and that was when she butted in.

“Okay that’s enough, we are going to be late for our flight.” Lola began pushing the press back while I grabbed our coffee’s and proceeded to our gate.

“Thank you.” I said to Lola, once she was next to me again.

When we sat down, it was only a few more minutes before we boarded the flight. I enjoyed my coffee, happy that I was in warm clothes. I couldn’t wait to go to sleep.

“Flight G2F561 is now boarding.” I got up and grabbed my carry on. Lola and I quickly rushed to the front of the line, we made it with only four people ahead of us.

The flight attendants had their fake smiles plastered across their faces, complimenting everyone. When it came to me, the attendant didn’t even have to look at my ticket to know my name. “Kayla Maceton.” I nodded. “It’s honour.”

“The honour is all mine.” The woman couldn’t help but blush, but I grabbed my ticket and continued down the tunnel that connected to the plane.

The man at the door directed me to where I would be seated in first class, and I leisurely took my time to get comfortable in my spacious seat. As I made my stuff organised for the long flight, I noticed all the people walking past scowling at me – as they moved down the plane to economy.
