I apologize for the last chapter. This is gonna be depressing for a while.

It had been about a week since I last saw Walker, and I never realized how much he impacted my life.

It's not as easy to laugh anymore without him. I wish he were still here, and we'd be laughing so hard our sides hurt.

I've hardly been able to talk to him, my dad throwing me into my volleyball season since games had started.

I tried to invite him to a game, but my dad shot it down as soon as he saw us on the phone, also making me hang up.

I spent the majority of my time at home in my room, reading my books over and over.

My mom tried getting me to come downstairs for movie nights, or just family time, but she understood that I was too upset with my dad to spend time around him.

I talked to Leena a lot more, she was always up for talking to me about Walker, and she lets him sit in on conversations from time to time.

McKenna's birthday was in just 3 hours, and so long as my dad didn't find out Walker was going, I'd get to see him.

Momona was coming to pick me up, along with Abby and Aryan, so that we could make sure my dad didn't accidentally see Walker getting out of his car and not let me go.

I went through my closet, trying to find a dress that matched McKenna's 'Cinderella' theme for her sweet 16, since she was about 2 years older than me.

McKenna declared that we must wear fancy dresses, and if we could, something blue.

So after a long while looking through my closet, I found one that fit the theme, going all out for Kenna.

After I changed, I slipped on some blue heels and met Momona outside, carefully getting into the car.

Momona was sitting passenger seat, careful with her dress so she didn't mess it up.

Abby sat behind Mo's mom, also having gone all out with her dress.

Aryan sat in the very back row, wearing a simple blue suit.

"Oh my Apollo, you guys really went all out." Aryan laughed, shaking his head as we got in the car.

"Yep, McKenna asked us to." I answer, sitting carefully.

When we got there, the setting was absolutely stunning.
