Amy has always been a person who is full of sadness. She is very moody and has been known in her life to have a lot of mood swings. Amy has always had issues with her self-esteem and has a profound number of issues with food. When she was 10 years old, she developed Anorexia and had issues on the side with binge eating. Her parents were devastated when they figured out, she was losing so much weight. The only thing that made Amy feel like she could cope better was when her parents reminded her of how she is really into dogs and said that she should get a pet.
Amy was surprised when her parents said she could have a pet and it could be a dog if she wanted it to be. Amy has never had a pet dog before. Or any pet for that matter. Her parents were poor and could not afford a dog and a dog was too much of a burden to look after.
Amy was in a much better state once she got a dog. She chose to have a golden retriever as that is her favourite breed. Her parents loved the idea of getting a golden retriever when Amy told her parents she was happy to get that breed.
