Chapter 3

The next few days happen much of the same training arguments training again. Before she knew it Sophie was on the team bus her headphones in blocking everyone out Beth went to Sophie but Leah stopped her 'Don't' Leah said 'She's nervous she is in the zone' Beth looked 'How do you know?'

Leah chuckled softly 'I know her better than people think she was my best friend since we were young' she said. Beth looked at her biting her lip 'What happened' she asked sitting beside her 'We just got called up to the England under 18team. I was 17 she was 18... she started looking back at her gently 'there was rumours that the top teams wanted her as she turned 18 she said looking at her 'I told her I loved her that I wanted to be with her' and straight after camp she left ' she said 'She's so used to been in her own adfter her parents died her brother wanted to be there but he was dealing with his own stuff' she said 'She broke me and my family' she said biting her lip wiping her eyes 'The worse thing is that my family would welcome her back with open arms' she said as they pulled up to the stadium 'im protecting them ' she said looking at Beth 'you or then' she said

They all got off the coach Sophie pulled her headphones out looking at the fans waiting as they started shouting her name she let out a soft smile and went over smiling as she signed some shirts and programmes for then and took some pictures.

She got her warm up gear on and walked out to the pitch looking at the stadium nodding as she walked out with Katie and warmed up waving at fans and smiling then her smile stopped seeing Leah's family She looked and not her lip before smiling softly.

They went back in and pulled on her shift patting the crest looking at her hands breathing deeply as she made her way over to the subs bench as she stared watching the game with a small smile. 'come on Beth' she said watching her make a run and jumped up cheering when she scored

Beth grinned and went to the bench pointing at her with a grin Sophie leaned over and hugged her they went into the break 1-0up

Sophie was warming g up as the crowd started cheering as they saw her. She smiled and waved as she ran in her hand sweeping the grass as she pointed to the sky as she ran into position making eye contact with Leah and nodding at her as she took a deep breath it was now the 70th minute as she made run into the box as Leah passed the ball in front of her she looked as the keeper dove at her feet she chipped it over and waited as the ball went in to the net. She let out a loud cheer and slid on her knees in front of the Arsenal fans patting the crest before she was mobbed by her team mates.

She walked into the press conference after and smiled looking at them 'So what's it like coming back to Arsenal' she smiled looking at them 'It's like coming back home' she said 'Back to where it all started meeting old friends' she said

'So what happened between you and Leah' someone asked. Sophie's smile turned to stone 'Mine and Leah's personal life is no one's business apart from ours and should we choose to divulge you then we will' she said as she stood up and walked out she pulled off her shirt and walked back out and smiled giving her shirt to one of the fans and clapped as they cheered.

Leah looked at her wide eyed and down to her abs.
Sophie smiled and winked at her Ashe she got showered and billed on some shorts and a T-shirt before getting on the bus smiling and chatting to other people and sat near the window when Leah plopped next to her she smiled and handed her one of her earphones with a smile as they listened and got closer. Sophie linked their arms together as the played games on her phone.
