This was the game against Norway. It had just been announced that Sophie would be captain for this game as Leah was on the bench. She sat with her headphones in pulling her shorts on and socks.
She kept the music up loud to block everything out she leaned on Leah closing her eyes 'Let's go warm up' Sophie called out as she took her headphones off and led the team out and started doing drills Sarina went to her 'You do have good leadership qualities' she said looking at her Sophie looked at her 'in used to it at arsenal some of the players are younger than me' she said looking at her as she did her static stretching 'even during the last camp and with the euros I can see how much you have improved' she said looking at her player 'it might be worth doing your caches badges for when you retire and go into management' she said looking at her Sophie looked at her 'I've applied bit to do it online as not to interfere with arsenal and Leah as much. Leah is gonna play till she is going to retire I'm going to give it until after the World Cup and then see' she said looking at her manager. She nodded 'we will keep in touch then' she said looking at her 'but I hope you play as long as you can anyone would be lucky to have you as a coach' she said as they went back into the changing rooms
Sophie looked at her and smiled and went and took her training top off and drink a little water before pulling her England top on and her shin pads and boots before looking at the captains arm band Leah took it from her and put it on her arm kissing it 'you have got this' she said
They made their way to the tunnel Sophie at the front of the line staring straight forward sat the grass and followed the officials out.
