I attended Bruce's baseball game, bundled up in warm clothes. Robin and Jay sat beside me, sharing a blanket and a packet of skittles. We all cheered for Bruce, one of the best players on his team, and he did so well in this game.

During the match, I made eye contact with Bruce, and he smiled, nodding his head at me. In response, I blew him a kiss, distracting him before his coach called his name, bringing his focus back to the game.

Observing Jay and Robin beside me, they were having a conversation, I couldn't help but notice the way they looked at each other – it reminded me of me and bruce, and the way we looked at each other at the start of everything, Their eyes sparkled with love and excitement.

As the game concluded, I rushed down to the field to congratulate Bruce on his win. He smiled and hugged me tightly, then put his arm around me, leading me over to meet his baseball friends.

I had the chance to talk with some of them, and they seemed happy for Bruce and me. Once everything wrapped up, Bruce and I walked home with Jay and Robin in front of us.

The two of them pushing each other playfully, their laughter filled the air. Me and bruce held hand in a comfortable silence.

— ❄️ TIME SKIP

On New Year's Eve, Bruce and I huddled under a blanket outside our town's community hall. While our families were inside, participating in the community's New Year's plans, the teenagers hated being there, gathered outside—some played basketball, others sneaking a smoke behind the building.

Bruce and I joined Robin, who waited for Jay to arrive. When she finally showed up, the four of us found a spot behind the building to hang out. "Okay, new year's resolution!" Jay exclaimed, slapping her thighs to capture our attention.

After a pause, Bruce spoke up "I want to make it onto the tougher baseball team; I've got tryouts in a few days." Jay reassured him, "You'll get in. You're the best player I've seen." Jay reassured him, Bruce smiled, thanking her.

Jay turned to me, asking "And you, Y/n?" I smiled, glancing at Bruce, whose hand squeezed mine. "I don't know; I'm pretty happy with how my life's going right now."

With her attention now on Robin, "What about you, Robin?" Jay asked, He shrugged "Have my first kiss." Jay was surprised "You haven't had your first kiss?" she asked. "Well, go on then" Bruce teased the two of them, making them say 'eww'

"What about you, Jay?" Robin asked, she looked up at the sky thinking for a moment "I want a boyfriend" She confessed, I glanced at robin with a smirk before looking away to make sure Jay didn't see.

While Jay was at the bathroom, I playfully harassed Robin. "Kiss her!" I chuckled, shaking his shoulders. Even in the darkness, I could see his red cheeks. "I don't know; what if she doesn't like me?" he sighed.

"Dude, she does!" Bruce added in. "She's giving you those 'Oh, Robin, I like you so much' eyes all the time!" I teased.

As Jay returned, Robin shoved my shoulder, shooting an awkward smile her way. Sensing the tension, Jay frowned "What's going on?" She asked, Robin laughed nervously, and Bruce and I exchanged amused glances. "Nothing" Robin replied. "Okay, anyways..."

As the clock approached midnight, the town was waiting in excitement. When the clock struck midnight, cheers erupted, fireworks bursted into the sky, and couples shared moments.

I turned to Bruce, his eyes glued on me. Leaning in, we shared a kiss, our ears filled with the sounds of fireworks and cheers. Smiling, I felt his hands pulling me closer towards him.

The sound of the fireworks faded, so me and bruce pulled away. I glanced to see Robin and Jay who were kissing as well. Shocked, I playfully hit Bruce's shoulder, grinning. "It's finally happening!" I whispered, and Bruce silently cheered with me.

---

Escaping the loud town, Bruce and I ventured into the dark woods. Despite its scariness, I felt safe in Bruce's arms. Reaching a small lake, we sat beside each other, my hands swiping the water's surface to feel the temperature.

Bruce smiled, laying back, and I followed, resting my head on his chest. His heartbeat and steady breaths calmed me. "Y/n?" he whispered.

"Yeah?" I mumbled. "I think I want to spend the rest of my life with you" Bruce confessed. "You think?" I frowned. "Well, I know" he said, and my lips couldn't help but smile widely.

"Me too, Bruce."

"I've never found a girl like you before. You're my dream girl. And I don't want to let you go. I want to grow old and know that you're still by my side." My stomach fluttered as I lifted my head, meeting his eyes. "I love you a lot, Bruce."

"I love you too, Y/n."
