Chapter 60

I feel Marcus move beside me as he turns and shakes me awake "babe you got to get up" he says quietly and I frown snuggling closer to him "do you want to run by your moms house before you go to school?" He asks and at his words I slowly open my eyes

She's leaving today...finally, longest two days ever

Wednesday was tiring being back at school. It wouldn't be my number one chose on where to be. It was dull, most of the teachers showed videos or gave us worksheets, everyone too tired to do anything else. I ended up going to work since I didn't Monday but that was pretty quiet too.

It was nice keeping my mind off of everything, I focused on school and laughed with Sky and Tony at work. All in all it was a good day to forget the problems I face when I'm not there.

We don't have any new leads on the remaining two vampires, Lucia almost cracked through the females brain but she thinks it was because the vampire hadn't eaten and as soon as she fed Lucia knew that the wall up again. The females brain was as strong as ever. There's still no sight of James, although a couple vamps are still looking. Marcus put four more vampires protecting my mom, as promised, and I'm glad she's leaving today. I called her yesterday and she didn't seem any better, in fact she seemed a bit worse.

I roll over and look at the time, 6:03, I groan and stretch, sitting up beside Marcus as he watches me. I run a hand through my tangled hair and swing my legs over the bed, standing and trudging to the bathroom sleepily "no good morning kiss?" He asks smiling with a small pout

I turn back to him with a frown looking at the distance I have to travel back over to him. I do it anyways and peck his lips, he hold my hips in place when I try to move but I hit his arm and he lets me go chuckling.

I splash cold water on my face, hoping it will wake me up a little. Marcus wouldn't stop bothering me last night and by bothering I mean tickling me to death and when that settled down he wouldn't keep him hands off of my legs and stomach, teasing me until I somehow managed to fall asleep, even though my body was on fire from his touch.

I throw my hair up, not wanting to mess with it and put on a little makeup. I step out only now seeing that somehow I only have Marcus T-shirt on...and that's it. I walk over to my drawer and pull a grey lace thong up my legs, almost tripping.

I fell Marcus comes up behind me and hold my waist as I bend over and pull the thong up my other leg, he bends down to my ear and whispers "you sure you want to put those on?" He asks, his voice already husky

I have trouble finding my words, now fully awake feeling his hardness pressed against me "we don't have time" I say hardly above a whisper as he starts to kiss my neck passionately and all over

"I think we could spare some time?" He says and I almost nod in agreement hypnotized by his raspy voice and the indescribable feeling of his lips on my skin

"You and me both know we'll start something that we can't-" I'm cut off by the sound of my phone ringing "my point exactly" I say pulling the underwear up me completely and pushing myself out of his warm grasp

I hurriedly walk over to my phone and pick it up seeing my moms face appear. My heart skips a beat nervous on what she'll say "hey mom everything ok?" I ask quickly

I hear her sigh on the other end "not really...Vicky and John won't be back till Saturday" she says and I gasp, no she has to go. She can't stay here any longer....it's not safe

"What?! why?!" I ask shocked as Marcus comes up behind me and listens in on us

"There was some bad weather where they are and they won't be able to catch a plane till tomorrow" she explains and I groan falling back on the bed, Marcus stands above me, frowning sympathetically
