Chapter 6

Marcus's POV
I run out of my classroom and into the hallway, as far from Rose as I can get. I don't know what's happening to me I can't control metal? What happened back there?

I go to the parking lot, not bothering to go to the office. They'll figure out I'm gone and send a substitute to teach my class. I need to leave and figure out what's going on with me, I almost go find Jade seeing as she's a which. I can't believe I didn't  notice it when I first met her but then again I was meeting my mate for the first time so I wasn't exactly focused on other supernatural creatures in my classroom. I decide against it seeing as I don't really know her to well, even though I can tell she doesn't deal in black magic I'll just stick with Caden. I send a quick text telling him to meet me at my house immediately, he repays soon after telling me he would be there in two minutes.

I speed down the road to my house needing to know what the hell is happening with my abilities. When I arrive Caden is already there, I'm guessing he ran here because his car is no where in sight.

"What's up?" He asks coming over to me once I get out of my car and head up to the house.

"Something's wrong" I tell him confused as hell

"What happened?" He asks when we get into my living room he sits on the couch while I pace the room. I tell him everything from going in to classroom to the point where I bent all the chair legs in the classroom. He sits there a moment probably trying to figure out the same thing I am.

"And your saying she got turned on?" he asks, I don't like him saying that about my mate but since it was true I nod stiffly

"Yes I could tell when I smelled the air, her scent was amplified 100%" I tell him, pacing the floor

"Ok I think I know what's going on" he said nodding his head

"Ok what?!" I rush out

"I think your abilities are expanding, I noticed it when you first walked in here, I could feel more power rolling off of you and I could feel that your abilities had progressed. Since you met your mate maybe it kind of enhanced them, and maybe when she was... tuned on it spiked them up like it was a sign of her feeling the pull too, causing you to bend the chairs and break your coffee cup." he says staring up at me with his light eyebrows pulled together tightly

"That's what it looks like" I say "thank you Caden I'm going to head back to school" when I finish my sentence he actually stats to laugh at me "what?"

"There is no way in hell you're going near her until you have these abilities partially under control" he says placing his arm around my shoulder

"Shit your right" I realize, if I hurt her because I didn't know how to control this new ability I could never forgive myself.

For an entire week me and Caden learned the extent of my new found ability. I had to train my mind to only move metal at my command, not just when me or her was turned on. Saying it was painful being away from her for so long was an understatement, it was more like hell. I couldn't stand it, by the end of the week I had to see her. I had to be with her, the pull was getting stronger and without her being near me made it ten times worse.

Through the week I had to imagine her turned on, or her feeling any other strong emotion to make sure no metal moved around during me thinking about it. I was surprised it only took a week for me to get it under control. Caden thought that was also something that came with me meeting my mate, was better control, thank god, because I couldn't last one more day without her. I missed seeing her cheeks heat up whenever I talked to her, I missed her beautiful green and blue eyes, I missed her soft skin and plum lips.
