Jungkook's heart beat rapidly in his chest, his eyes watered and he cupped Taehyung's face in his palms, he patted her face trying to wake her up.

"Tae... Tae" he shuttered her name without using her title like he used to, his heart ached making him realize that he is losing something dear to him.

Blaze ran towards the palace at high speed and the king looked around desperately for help but there was none. 

"Tae...hyung" he shuttered seeing his wife lying lifelessly in his arms. "B...Baby, get up" he patted her cheeks and tried to give him breath through the mouth but nothing worked.

The message of their victory already reached the kingdom making everyone cheer in happiness.

A huge celebration was held by Royal consort Jieun for the victory of Jeons.

Diya's and candles were lit in every corner of Jeons as ordered by Jieun, keeping Taehyung's culture and choices in mind. The food supplies and other things in need were distributed by side royals. 

In all these someone was fuming badly, the anger and hatred towards the consort Taehyung increased in her heart and a person decided to turn this happiness into sorrow.

King Jeon returned to Jeons with his troops and injured people, the war went longer than they thought. 

Everyone came to the main gate of the palace to congratulate the couple on their victory but were shocked to see the King carrying an unconscious consort.

He rushed inside without minding anyone, "Call the healer soon" he ordered and the people of Jeons gasped at the scene in front of them.

Entering his chamber Jungkook kept his wife softly on his bed, his heart thumping in an unknown fear like someone was snatching his most precious thing away from him.

Consort Dowager and Jieun entered Jungkook's chamber followed by Hoseok and Lisa their faces wet with tears. 

They quickly went to the consort's side and started checking her softly only to be stopped by a healer who entered the chamber and told them to move aside.

"My King, you all should leave till we need to check on the royal consort," The lady healer said.

"Leave " Jungkook ordered.

 Everyone left but he and Taehyung's maids didn't budge from their place. 

He turned his back towards her and Hoseok started removing Taehyung's upper clothes.

She opened her blouse and made her lay on her back before opening the knot of her upper chemise, the wound was carved at her neck, the area was badly bruised and a mass of the surrounding of her wounded area was popped out.

After good enough 10 minutes, Jungkook turned back towards her and his eyes teared up.

He took a clean wet cloth from Hoseok and with shivering hands he cleaned her blood. His eyes teared up but he squeezed them tightly not letting the tears flow.
