"Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!"

Grayson's perspective

5 days passed.
At this point, we had almost entirely lost hope of finding Samuel.
So we did the next best thing we could think of, which was finding the hatchery, and hatching the dragon egg.
So, we started walking again.

Oddly, for the next 3 more days, we were completely uninterrupted in our travel to the hatchery, almost as if our usual 'bad luck', had simply vanished.

Eventually, we actually found the hatchery.

"Wait, what is that?" Drake asked, pointing ahead of himself, and slightly to his right.
"What is what?" Mia asked, bewildered.
"That." Drake said.

"Drake, what are you-?" I began, not knowing what the two of them were talking about at first, before spotting it mid sentence.
"Drake, wait a minute..." I said, getting out the map.
We were there.
"My Notch, Drake, that's it." I said.
"That's the hatchery." I added.
"We- We made it!" Armen exclaimed.
"Mia! We made it! It's the hatchery!" Drake also exclaimed.
"Then what're we waiting for?" Mia asked excitedly.

We soon found a large stone door on the side of the giant overgrown building.
"Well, there's no obvious way to open it. Now what?" Drake asked.
The remains of a path led up to the door, lining the sides of it were 12 pedestals, 6 on each side, each with a big stone disk on them, all engraved with different numbers.
11, 13, 14, 15, 23, 31, 32, 33, 34, 41, 43, and 51.

"How much do you want to bet that these pedestals open it?" Drake said to me.
"A lot." I replied.

"Hey, guys, I just noticed, 23 backwards is 32, and both numbers have a pedestal, same with all the others." Mia began.
"all the numbers are repeated on pedestals twice, but one set is backwards, except for 11 and 33 because they're the same backwards." Mia said.
"Mia you're a genius!" I said.
There was a grid with numbers and letters, and the phrase "Open Sesame", scratched into the door.

"Hey, look over here, on the door." Armen said, pointing at it.
"Wait a minute." Mia said, after walking up and glancing at the door.

"Oh my, that's absolutely genius!" Mia exclaimed in realization.
"Grayson, give me a letter, any letter." Mia said.
"Uh, T?" I said, curious as what she was thinking.
"If we go to T, go up, we get 2, then go back to T, and go up, we get 4, then, if we-" Mia began explaining.
"24, T would be 24!" I exclaimed, interrupting her.
"Exactly, all we have to do, is decode that, into two digit numbers, then press the pedestal discs in the order to spell out the phrase!" Mia said excitedly.
"So then, O is... 33." Armen said, starting to realize the pattern.
"I'll go press them." Drake said, walking up to the pedestal engraved with 33.
"33!" Drake shouted back.

"P is..." I mumbled.
"43!" I shouted to Drake.
"43!" Drake repeated back once again.

Suddenly, a dispenser revealed itself, and rained arrows down upon us, before quickly hiding back away.
One of the arrows lightly hit me in my shoulder, barely piercing my skin.
"Grayson! You alright?" Drake yelled, as he ran up to me.
"Yeah, it didn't fire them very hard, and they're not poisonous or anything, I think they're just regular arrows." I stated.
"You alright Armen?" I asked Armen, who had attempted to take cover behind a rock.
"Yeah, I'm good." He said, standing up from behind the rock.

"I don't get it. Shouldn't that've been right?" Mia said in confusion.
"Left and up." Drake said.
"What?" Mia asked, not quite hearing Drake.

"We were supposed to go to the left first, then upwards. That's why the numbers are repeated in reverse, it's intentionally repeated to confuse people." Drake explained.
"Okay, let's start over again..." I said.

"33!" I continued.
"33!" Drake shouted back.

"34!" I said, slight worry in my voice.
"34!" Drake shouted back.
We paused, waiting for something to happen.

"Hey, the arrows didn't come out, I think we're getting it!" Mia said.

"15!" I once again continued.
"15!" Drake shouted back.

"32!" I shouted, slightly quieter.
"32!" Drake shouted back, seemingly unfazed by the repetitiveness.

"41." I said even quieter.
"41!" Drake, again, shouted back.

"15." I said, now with slight annoyance in my voice.
"15!" Drake continued shouting.

"41." I continued.
"41!" Drake, yup, you guessed it, shouted back.

"11." I said.

"..." Silence.

"11!" I repeated, yelling.
"Drake!" I yelled, annoyed.

"Sorry! 11!" Drake shouted back.

"31!" We continued.
"31!" Drake continued.

"Last one! 15!" Mia shouted.
"15!" Drake said, a sense of finalization in his voice.

After the last number was entered, the door slowly opened.

I inhaled, preparing to say something funny, while motioning for Drake and Mia to enter.
"Ladies-?"
("Unfinished phrases" for 400 anyone?)
"Hey! That's my joke!" Armen said, knowing what I was going to say.
'Gosh darnit, you just don't let me have fun around here, do you?' I thought to myself.

We all entered.

It was extremely dark and musty inside.
Before we could react, the large stone door quickly lowered shut, trapping us inside.
"Why do doors to places like this have to always do that?" Armen asked, almost to himself, annoyed.

Eventually we found our way into a large chamber.
We entered, another stone door closing behind us, trapping us in even further.

Suddenly a voice spoke from the darkness.
A voice none of us expected to hear.

A voice that made Armen look terrified.

"Drake, Grayson, Mia... Armen... what an unexpected surprise..."
"By which I mean completely expected!" He said, revealing himself from the darkness, somehow back in Collin's body again.

"You're alive?!" Grayson said in disbelief.
"You really thought that killed me?" He spoke, almost amused.
"That was but a minor inconvenience." He continued.

"But now, let the real fun begin..."
