Awake

𝒪𝓃ℯ 𝓌ℯℯ𝓀 𝓁𝒶𝓉ℯ𝓇

Mazikeen groaned as she felt her eyes fighting to open,

"What?"

She slowly opened her eyes to see herself in a small room, on a couch,

"The frag?"

She winced as she slowly started sitting up,

"AND WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING???"

Mazikeen winced as she heard a familiar voice,

"Getting u-"

"Oh, I think the heck not!"

She was gently pushed down as her eyes adjusted to see a familiar head of blond hair,

"Sarah?"

Sarah smiled softly at her,

"In the flesh!"

Mazikeen looked around in confusion,

"But how? What? Where? When?"

Sarah put a hand on her shoulder,

"Mazikeen. I need you to tell me what happened,"

Mazikeen looked at her hands and saw bandages running up and down her arms,

"I-I don't...I don't know,"

Sarah sighed and sat down on the floor in front of her,

"What's the last thing you remember?"

Mazikeen closed her eyes and gasped,

"SAM!"

Sarah had to push her back down before she could stand,

"Maze! CALM DOWN!"

Mazikeen shook her head,

"Sam! Sarah please, something happened to him!"

Sarah shook her head,

"I need you to calm down Maze, talk to me,"

Mazikeen sighed,

"Qatar...we were attacked by this scorpion robot thing! We ran away and escaped, then these agents of this hidden operation got us and we went to Hoover Dam, then I saw my little brother and we fought these biiiig alien machine things. Then...then...I think I killed the biggest one with this weird glowy cube but...I don't know what happened to Sam,"

Sarah gasped,

"Is Will?"

Mazikeen smiled and nodded,

"Will is definitely alive, he's too stubborn to not be." 

Sarah gasped and felt tears fall from her eyes,

"Oh my god,"

Mazikeen put a hand on her shoulder,

"What happened when we were gone?" 

Sarah didn't say anything, just pulled the young adult into her arms in a large hug,

"I thought...I thought I lost all of you, I got a call and was told no one survived the attack,"

Mazikeen sighed and smiled at her,

"Come on Sarah, do you really think Will and I aren't stubborn enough to kill anything and everything to see that wonderful goddaughter of mine?" 

Sarah laughed and smiled,

"Well, we need to get to Hoover Dam,"

Mazikeen smirked and nodded,

"That we do,"

Sarah immediately gave Mazikeen her device back,

"Here is your project Phoenix,"

Mazikeen looked at the device in confusion,

"How did you get it off?"

Sarah smirked and winked at her,

"A mother never tells,"

Mazikeen laughed and nodded,

"Okay, pack a small bag up, I have to fix Phoenix up a bit before we leave anyways,"

Sarah nodded and went off to pack the three bags. Mazikeen immediately ran to her work garage and immediately set off to work, she also made sure to pack her weapons that Sarah put away and quickly and easily repaired her suit. Phoenix had a few dents in it from being tossed by Starscream. She heard a noise behind her and smiled when she saw Sarah and Annabel ready with two bags,

"Come on Mynx, let's get going," 

Mazikeen laughed at hearing her nickname and nodded,

"Let's get it going!"

She made sure she had her twin guns and her purple lightsaber on her belt before hopping into the passenger side as Sarah started driving.
