Guilt

Optimus walked into Jazz's room to see him looking at the ceiling, 

"Jazz,"

Jazz glanced over at him, 

"Yeah, boss?"

Optimus sighed and sat down next to him, 

"I know you are in pain,"

"I thought I was hiding it very well,"

Optimus glanced at him in amusement, 

"I think I simply know you well enough to know,"

Jazz sighed and finally sat up, 

"Optimus...she got hurt because of me. She got taken because of me...she may never wake up because of me,"

Optimus sighed and put a servo on his shoulder, 

"Jazz, do you know what the last thing she said to me was?"

Jazz glanced at him before shaking his head,

"No, you did not mention anything when we were in the desert,"

Optimus nodded his head, 

"She told me. To make sure that you were okay. To tell you that she is sorry. That she cares about you."

Jazz looked down and wiped his optics as stray coolant leaked from them. Optimus smiled softly at him, 

"You are strong, Jazz, that is why I knew that I made the right choice, not only as having you be my first lieutenant but also having you be Mazikeen's guardian,"

Jazz chuckled, 

"I did ask you to be her guardian,"

Optimus smiled kindly at him, 

"I know you did. She would not want you to be submerged in your guilt,"

Jazz sighed and nodded, 

"I'll try,"

Optimus nodded and stood back up, 

"There are two waiting outside for you, I will let them in,"

Jazz tilted his head in confusion, 

"Who?"

Optimus left and Sunstreaker and Sideswipe walked in. Jazz's optics widened, 

"What are you guys doing in here?"

Sunstreaker sighed as he sat down next to Jazz, 

"You know what we feel,"

Sideswipe nodded, 

"Your bond with our sister is strong too,"

Jazz sighed and looked down at his servos, 

"All I can feel is cold,"

Sideswipe nodded, 

"We feel it too. I am sure Tex feels it as well,"

"She numbed off her bond with all of us. She can't feel us...and we can't feel her pain,"

Jazz looked up at them, 

"That is what it is?"

Sunstreaker nodded, 

"Yes, I did it before when I was captured briefly but the Decepticons. I felt cold...almost like this but it was colder when I did it."

"It felt exactly like this for me,"

Jazz stood up, 

"So, Lil M must be freezing, we should tell Sam to make sure she is covered in blankets, maybe that would help!"

Sunstreaker sighed and stood up to face him, 

"Jazz...this kind of cold? It can't be fixed by blankets,"

Jazz sighed and closed his servos in a fist, 

"What can we do then?"

Sideswipe looked up at him from his spot on the bed, 

"We pray to Primus. That he makes sure she returns to us,"

Jazz sighed,

"Her carrier might not let her,"

Sunstreaker chuckled, 

"When has that ever stopped Aero? She's the most stubborn of the bunch,"

Jazz sighed and nodded, 

"Yeah, I know she is,"

Sideswipe smiled at him, 

"We just have to keep our head up high, as the humans say,"

Sunstreaker nodded, 

"And make sure everything is still running when she returns,"

Jazz sighed and nodded, 

"Okay,"
