Night Terrors

Athena laid down next to Mazikeen just as they did all those years ago. She had no idea that her night terrors got worse when she joined the army. Athena's own night terrors disappeared after she was able to join. She sighed and glanced at Mazikeen, 

"Just you and me against the world again, huh? Only this time...we got a better team,"

She closed her eyes and fell asleep. She barely slept two hours before she was shoved off the bed, 

"Hey!"

She quickly stood up and saw Mazikeen thrashing.

"NO NO NO NO!"

Athena ducked as a fist came right by her head, 

"MAY!"

She quickly jumped on top of her and was thrown off and she winced as she landed, 

"You bitch."

She quickly got up and jumped back on top of her, 

"Wake up! It's not real!"

She slowly got a hold of Mazikeen's wrists and slammed them on the bed, 

"Wake up you crazy bitch! It's me! It's Aura!"

"No! GET AWAY FROM HIM!"

Athena grunted and slapped Mazikeen's face, 

"NO ONE IS HERE!"

Mazikeen immediately shot up and Athena flew back and landed on her butt,

"May?"

Mazikeen immediately looked around as she panted, 

"Aura?"

Athena smiled softly and climbed back onto the bed, 

"Hey,"

Mazikeen felt a tear slip from her face, 

"Th-They c-came back,"

Athena frowned and put a hand on hers, 

"I know...Eddie told me you get them every night now,"

Mazikeen shook her head, 

"T-They stopped for a while,"

Athena tilted her head in confusion, 

"They did?"

Mazikeen sighed and wrapped her arms around her knees, 

"Y-Yeah...J-Jazz has been staying over here...and...he makes the nightmares go away,"

Athena's eyes widened, 

"He does?"

Mazikeen slowly nodded, 

"Y-Yeah,"

Athena pouted, 

"Damn, lucky bastard,"

 Mazikeen chuckled,

"Yeah...so I'll just stay awake now, maybe I'll continue working on stuff,"

Athena shook her head, 

"May, you need to sleep,"

"I was asleep in a coma for a week, I'll be fine,"

Athena grabbed her arm, 

"Maze,"

Mazikeen sighed and looked at her, 

"Yeah?"

"What was the dream?"

Mazikeen sighed and shook her head, 

"I don't want to think about it,"

Athena sighed, 

"Okay, but eventually, you should,"

Mazikeen nodded, 

"Maybe,"

Athena sighed and nodded, 

"I'm going to my room to rest, please sleep again,"

Mazikeen nodded, 

"Maybe,"

Athena sighed and left the room. She sighed in relief when she saw Jazz still there, 

"Jazz,"

Jazz looked at her, 

"Yes?"

"As much as I hate to admit this, but...I can't help May out with this. Please sleep in her room with her, and make sure she sleeps too...she had a really bad nightmare...and she told me that you stop them,"

Jazz's optics widened,

"I only saw her have one, I did not know that they were frequent,"

Athena chuckled and patted his foot, 

"That's because she doesn't have them when she is with you, so lucky you,"

Jazz shrugged and transformed into his alt-mode and turned on his holo-form. Athena shrieked, 

"HOLY SHIT!"

Jazz laughed, 

"Sorry, I should have warned you,"

Athena nodded, 

"Yes! You should have!"

Jazz chuckled, 

"How else would I be sleeping in the same room as her?"

Athena rolled her eyes, 

"Just go in,"

Jazz smirked but he entered Mazikeen's room to see she was at her work bench working a contraption he could not fully see, 

"Lil M,"

Mazikeen looked at him and sighed, 

"I knew she would get you,"

Jazz chuckled, 

"I was right outside,"

Mazikeen nodded,

"Yeah, well go get some rest,"

"Not without you,"

"Jazz,"

"Nope, come on,"

He laid down and opened up his arms. Mazikeen sighed and put down her tools. She climbed onto the bed and Jazz immediately wrapped his arms around her, 

"Goodnight, Lil M,"

"Goodnight, Jazz,"
