As we walked down the aisle of the church, people turned to look at us, their faces filled with reverence.

The priest walked with purpose, his steps unhurried but determined, as if he were on a journey that was far more important than the space around him.

Each time someone greeted him, he responded with a simple, "Bless you, child." His voice was gentle and sincere, as if he truly meant the words he spoke. I followed him, feeling as if I were a part of something bigger than myself, something that transcended time and space.

The spiral stairs were narrow and steep, but they seemed to stretch up forever, into the sky. The higher we climbed, the brighter the light became, until finally we reached the top and stepped into an office.

The priest's office was a simple space, but it was filled with reminders of his faith. On the walls hung posters of Jesus, his face calm and serene, radiating love and compassion. In another corner of the room, a painting depicted a vision of heaven, with angels and saints and the hand of God reaching down to earth.

Scattered around the room were various Bible verses, hung in beautiful calligraphy. The air was scented with the fragrance of orchids, and in one corner of the room a candle burned, its light flickering gently. The whole space felt peaceful and sacred.

From this vantage point, we could see the entire church, with its soaring spires and stained glass windows. It was like a glimpse into heaven.

"I have eagerly anticipated your arrival for the past two years." I looked puzzled, with my eyebrows drawn together in perplexity.

"But you don't know me," I couldn't help but point out. He just smiled, his eyes full of understanding. The absence of noise in the office was overwhelming, with only the hum of the functioning air conditioner permeating the atmosphere.

"I know you in the spirit," His response caused me to furrow my eyebrows in confusion, as everything was starting to sound nonsensical, as it always had been.

"I know this doesn't make any sense to you, but it's true. God has revealed you to me. Every day, I have encounters with fellow believers who were once in deep sin. I always hoped you would also show up. And somehow, I knew your appearance was closer. Today, while I was praying, I felt it in my spirit."

I gazed at him quietly, attempting to comprehend everything he said, as I patiently awaited his next words.

"The Lord asked me to tell you that all your sins are forgiven, my dear child. All he needs from you is to open your heart, accept Him, and let go of your past. He's ready to accept you back and change your life."

I sighed and bent my head low, feeling the weight of all my mistakes weighing me down. "But I don't know how this operates. I don't even believe in all of these," I finally spoke, my voice barely above a whisper.
