Later on that day, Raven was sitting on a bench and leaning on a hot, metal table under one of the canopies they had set up. She was holding a pencil and notebook, with a list of nearly every possible student who could be blackmailing her. The scene from last night kept replaying in her head, as she thought about the silhouette. She was glancing around, inspecting every student there.

"Well Humphrey can't hold a mirrorphone straight to save his life."-she crossed his name out- "And Melody is way too slow to make a quick escape like that" She crossed Melody's name out too.

Despite her eyes shifting to a new student every second, she didn't notice Cerise, Briar, and Ashlyn come up to her.

"What crime are you solving?" Briar jokingly asked, sitting next to Raven.

Raven quickly closed the tiny notebook and slid it away from them, trying to act as nonchalant as she could about it.

"Nothing, just making sure that no one got lost in the woods." She nervously laughed, masking her lie with a smile.

The three girls exchanged a look, knowing Raven was lying but not deciding to dig deeper into it.

"Where's Maddie and Apple?" Cerise curiously asked.

"Still slaving away to Baba Yaga and Headmaster Grimm. I feel bad for them. They aren't getting to enjoy their last field trip because they're trying to make it good for everyone else." Raven replied.

"Me too. It's kinda sad." Briar chimed in.

"Where are they right now?"

"Well Maddie is down by the river, collecting some water, and Apple is..."

The group turned to look at Apple. She was in a far-away corner, astray from the other students. She was swinging an axe at a piece of wood, as the wood sat on a stump.

Even though she was clearly exhausted, Apple still looked absolutely gorgeous in Raven's eyes. The sun was shining through the leaves onto her, giving her such an angelic and radiant atmosphere. Her hair was tied up into a high ponytail with two curly strands at the front of her face. She was wearing one of Raven's flannel jackets around her waist, with a black t-shirt and dark denim shorts.

She wears my clothes better than I ever could....Raven thought, continuing to watch Apple.

She must have been staring hard, because when she finally snapped out of her trance, her three friends were laughing hysterically.

"What are you laughing at?" Raven asked sternly, knowing exactly what caused this sudden pandemonium.

"Did you see the way she was staring at her?" Cerise laughed, putting her head down and banging her fist on the table.

"Shut up!" Raven yelled at them, her face turning a bit red.

After a couple of seconds of her screaming, Raven finally got the girls to stop their laughter.

"But seriously, I've never seen someone look at someone else like that," Briar said, still smirking.

Raven looked back to Apple for only a moment, wary to not get caught in another dream-like state.

"Why aren't they having Hunter chop the wood? Isn't that kind of his thing?" Cerise inquired, looking around.

"Don't you remember? He's out of town till Thursday so he said he would come up then. And even if he was here, Baba Yaga says that it's Apple and Maddie's responsibility since they're the student council co-presidents."

"APPLE! MADELINE!!" The group heard Headmaster Grimm call from the other side of the campground.

"Speaking of which," Briar said, looking over to Baba Yaga.

They heard Apple groan, dropping the axe and yelling, "coming!". Maddie quickly ran up from the river, abandoning her buckets of water.

"They look exhausted," Briar stated, watching the two girls run in the direction of the headmaster.

"They'll be fine." Cerise addressed.

The group watched as Apple ran headfirst into a large tree.

Raven covered her mouth, trapping a gasp as she called out to her, "Are you okay?"

"Perfectly fine!" Apple announced, leaning onto Maddie as she held her forehead and stood up.

"WHITE! HATTER! GET OVER HERE!" Baba Yaga screamed at them.

Raven saw blood beginning to drip from Apple's nose and immediately rushed over to help her. Apple stumbled a bit when she began walking again, but Raven rushed over and caught her from completely falling down.

"I told you, I'm fine," Apple stated, looking over to Raven and wiping the blood from her face.

"You're running on three hours of sleep, haven't taken a break at all, and you just ran face-first into an oak tree. No. You're not ok."

"I swear I am." Apple pulled away from Raven's arms, finally having the strength to stand on her own.

"If you go on any longer you're gonna pass out from exhaustion."

"What other choice do I have?"

Headmaster Grimm called for Apple again, sounding even more pissed off than before.

Apple flashed an obviously fake smile at Raven, before running off.

Raven nervously bit a fingernail, walking back over to her friends.

"I'm worried about them" she stated, unable to look away from Baba Yaga practically screaming demands at Maddie and Apple. After she finished her yapping, Apple and Maddie split up, going into the woods.

This instantly worried Raven even more. For one, she knew it would be impossible for Maddie to make it out of the woods by herself, and Apple was hanging onto her consciousness by a thread.

"Do you think they'll be okay?" Raven asked, turning back toward the group.

The three other girls just glanced at each other, not knowing what answer to give Raven.

She warily glanced back towards the woods, trying to decide whether to intervene or not. She was rather worried, but on the other hand, Baba Yaga would kill her.

"Look, Raven, if they don't come back in an hour or so, I will go out looking for them, alright?" Cerise asked, looking back to Raven.

"Alright..." Raven was still feeling a little worried about the circumstances but decided to accept Cerise's offer.

Cerise, Ashlyn, and Briar got called over to look at something by a few other students. Raven watched as they left, picking up her notebook again. She took her pencil out and went back to work on her list.

She couldn't help but look back to the woods again. Two of the most important people to her were in there, one being extremely directionally challenged, and the other on the verge of passing out from exhaustion.

"Please be okay..."
