The early morning sun crept through the window, casting rays across my pillow. My eyes flew open, heart suddenly racing, and there was Arrow, sleeping beside me.

"Arrow," I said, but he remained sleeping like a baby.

After a moment, I heard a knock from my door, I scrambled to my feet and opened it.

"Did you see Arrow?" Tita Meryl asked as soon as I opened the door.

Hindi ko siya sinagot, ngunit lumingon ako sa aking kama kung saan mahimbing na natutulog ang kanyang anak. She followed my gaze and drew a sigh of relief.

"Mukhang hindi na niya napansin na maling kwarto ang napasukan niya," sambit ni Tita Meryl. "Hindi ka ba niya naistorbo sa pagtulog?"

"Hindi naman po. I didn't even notice he's sleeping beside me. Anong oras po ba kayo nakauwi?"

"Around 12AM. When he woke up, he asked me to go home. Mapilit siya kaya naman umuwi na kami."

"Gano'n po ba," matipid kong sabi.

"Anyway, the breakfast is ready. After preparing for school, bumaba ka na para kumain."

"How about Arrow po?"

"Just let him sleep for now. I'll inform the school that he need to rest for a week."

Nang bumaba na si Tita Meryl ay napatingin ako kay Arrow. I slowly walked towards him and sat on the bed. A small bandage attached to his head, but just like what the doctor said, he's fine now.

I stretched and yawned, excited for my second day in school. I grabbed my towel and headed to the bathroom. While rubbing my body, I was humming the song of Taylor Swift, Cruel Summer. After spending minutes in the shower, I stepped out feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.

As I gently brushed my head with a towel, I froze on the spot. Arrow was standing in front of me, staring at me, not to my face, but to my body. My pulse pounded in my ears as soon as I realized that I was only wearing a boxer short.

"Ahm... Gising ka na pala," sambit ko.

Sasagot na sana siya ngunit bigla na lang siyang napapikit. Tila nakaramdam na naman siya ng pagka-hilo. I sensed he was about to fall again, so I dashed going to him and grabbed his arm.

Fortunately, he fell on the bed, but unfortunately, we both fell and I was on top of him. My chest was pressing his and I could totally hear his heartbeat.

He opened his eyes gradually, and the sunlight passing my window struck his hazel brown eyes. I could smell the cool and sweet air coming from his mouth. He smelled good, like a baby fresh from bath.

"Bakit nandito ako?" tanong niya.

"Nagkamali ka ng pinasukan kagabi," sagot ko habang nakapatong pa rin ako sa kanya.

"Why are you on top of me?"

In a flash, I jumped to my feet. My cheeks burned as I scrambled several steps away from him, eagered to put some distance between us after our awkward moment on the bed.

"Sorry," I said. Though it was an accident, I couldn't bring myself to look at him.

Dahan-dahan naman siyang tumayo habang nakahawak sa kanyang ulo. Alam kong nahihilo pa rin siya, ngunit pinilit niya pa ring maglakad palabas ng aking kwarto. He didn't even dare to say anything and just left like nothing happened.

Arrow really mastered the skills in ignoring people.

I got dressed in my school uniform. After brushing my hair and teeth, I bounded down the stairs. Naabutan ko naman si Tita Meryl na may binabasa habang nakaupo sa harapan ng lamesa. She looked uneasy while reading a piece of paper.
