Legendary player of Indian cricket team Sunil Gavaskar has given a massive verdict ahead of the Indian Premier League 2024 season. Gavaskar boldly asserted one of his early season predictions. He believes that it would be 'not easy' for two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders to make it to the IPL 2024 playoffs. Out of the last five seasons, KKR has managed to enter the playoffs only once in 2021.

"It's not going to be easy (playoff qualification)," stated Gavaskar. They have to because they have the experience, not only of playing on those kinds of pitches, but of having played in the IPL for a while."
Gavaskar praised the Indian batting quartet of Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, and Venkatesh Iyer, who all play for KKR.
He continued, "I think having experience is really helpful because you know what to do when under pressure." These four players have all performed incredibly well. In the past year or so, Rinku Singh in particular has been amazing.
