Orlando nodded and exited my room. I turned my television up and began focusing on the show. My dad walked in while leaning against the door.

"What's up?"I asked and turned the tv off completely.

"We are having dinner tonight with your siblings. Just thought I should let you know"

I nodded my head and he walked out. I grabbed my phone that rested to the side of my. I had received at text from August.

I turned off my phone and went to the bathroom. I fixed up myself and applied some make up to make me look better.

"Aubrey come here sweetie" My mom said politely. The guests were obviously here because she was trying to act nice.

I put my shoes on and went down stairs into the living room. A girl and boy sat awkwardly on the couch. They were exact copies of my father.

"So dinner is ready"My mom dragged out.

We were more than ready to go and eat. We all walked towards the dining table and got settled in.

"Aubrey and Sidney, these are your sibling Courtney and drake"My dad introduced.

We all waved without saying a word.

"We have an announcement"My mom smiled while placing down the food on the table.

We focused our attention towards her waiting for the announcement. My dad stood up with a smile and grabbed her hand.

"We are together"

It went quiet. Is my mom crazy? He hurt her once, what makes her think he won't do it again.

"What!"Sidney exclaimed causing everybody's attention to go to her.

Soon, my phone began to ring and I sighed in relief. Saved by the bell. I stood up from my seat.

"That's probably. I'm helping her with her English essay. May I be excused?"I asked.

"Sure"She nodded and cleared her throat.

I walked up the stairs and went and grabbed my phone. I answered it and plopped on the bed.

"Hey Claire"I greeted.

"Hey babe, my mom and dad are gonna be gone next week and they asked if I could stay over your house"

"Most definitely, but let me go ask my mom first"

"Okay hun. Call me back when you get your answer"She responded.

"Alright"

We hung up the phone. I went back downstairs and grabbed my plate. I wrapped it up and placed it in the fridge. Nobody was sitting at the dining table anymore.

I shuffled towards the living room and plopped down on the couch. Courtney was sitting won on the loveseat watching the tv.

"So how old are you"She questioned

"Seventeen"I replied.

"Me to"She nodded.

Wow, my dad been out there ever since I was born. It scares me how he was never faithful to my mother.

"How old is your brother"I questioned.

"He's the same age as me, we are twins"

I nodded.

"How old is your little sister?"

"10, she's a pain in the ass"I shook

Maybe Courtney and I could start to have a good sibling relationship.
