As the night grew older, Diya realized that she needed to retrieve the Book of Shadows from Caleb's house before it was too late. However, as soon as she stepped out of Caleb's house, the sky turned dark and the rain started pouring down heavily. She couldn't make it back to her mansion with such weather conditions. Stranded at Caleb's house, Diya tried to think of a way to get back home while the storm raged on outside.

Caleb, offered her to stay at his house until the rain stopped. Although hesitant at first, Diya eventually agreed as she didn't want to risk walking in the rain and getting sick. Caleb provided her with a warm and comfortable room to stay in, making sure she was safe and secure. Caleb was now in the kitchen making a hot drink for Diya. She was curious to know more about him and what kind of person he was.

As she made her way towards the living room, she couldn't help but notice how the weather had taken a turn for the worse. The morning had started pleasant and sunny, but now the sky was dark and ominous. The rain was coming down in sheets, hitting the window with a rhythmic pitter-patter. The temperature had dropped significantly, causing her to shiver involuntarily. The trees outside were swaying wildly, bending under the force of the strong winds. The rain was so heavy that it was almost impossible to see anything beyond the windowpane.

"It doesn't look like the weather is going to get better," she said and turned around and saw Caleb walking over with two cups of hot tea.

As he walked into the room, he greeted her with a warm smile and handed her a delicate, porcelain cup. He then gently placed his cup on the table, and they settled in on the soft, comfortable couch.

"You can stay back here if you want. There is no need to return in this bad weather," Caleb said.

Diya hesitated for a few seconds and then decided to stay back, "Okay," she said and took a sip from her cup.

"So, tell me more about yourself, Diya," Caleb said and leaned back on the couch and put his hand over the head of the couch.

"I'm not sure what I should tell you. There's nothing much to say," she replied.

"Oh, come on. You must have lots of stories to tell. I'm sure your life must have been very interesting," Caleb insisted.

Diya smiled and said, "No, not really. My life has been pretty boring, I guess. Nothing much to tell."

Caleb smiled. "What kind of things do you like to do? What are your hobbies?"

Diya thought for a few seconds and then said, "Hmm... Well, I like reading. I have a lot of books at home. And I also like listening to music. I enjoy doing those things. What about you?"

"I like reading as well. I have a large collection of books myself. But I'm more interested in history. I like learning about the history of this kingdom and other kingdoms. You should see my library. I have all sorts of books on history. And I also like traveling. I have visited a lot of different places. It is fun to visit new places. It is always interesting to see how people live in other parts of the world," Caleb said.

Diya smiled and said, "That does sound fun. I would love to travel one day."

Caleb said, "I have a big library in my house. You are welcome to come and check it out anytime."

"Thanks," Diya said and smiled.

After their long conversation, Caleb made his way upstairs to his bedroom leaving Diya alone in the living room. She tried to distract herself by picking up the book Caleb had given her to read earlier, but her mind was in a jumble and she couldn't focus on the words. The silence in the room was only broken by the ticking of the clock on the wall and the distant sound of a car passing by outside.

A few moments later, he reappeared, holding a soft and fluffy blanket in one hand, and a plump pillow in the other. Caleb walked over to Diya and gently placed the pillow behind her head, followed by draping the cozy blanket over her lap.

"Here you go, Diya. Let me know if you need anything else," he said with a warm smile before walking away.

She gently lowered her body onto the soft, plush blanket, feeling its warmth against her skin. She slowly relinquished the tension in her neck and shoulders as she rested her head on the fluffy pillow, letting out a content sigh as she closed her eyes.

"Hey Caleb," Diya called out, her eyes meeting his.

"What's up, Diya?" he turned towards her.

"I'm sorry for being distant earlier. I wasn't sure if I could trust you since we had only just met," Diya confessed, looking apologetic.

"I completely understand," Caleb reassured her with a smile.

"Thank you so much, Caleb," Diya replied gratefully.

Caleb's heart skipped a beat as he nodded his head and flashed a charming smile at Diya. He was certain that she would eventually understand him. He was tempted to reveal his deepest secrets to her, but he held back, not wanting to ruin the moment. As he leaned over to grab her pillow, he felt a rush of emotion when he caught her gazing at him. He couldn't help but feel a spark between them, and he knew that this was the beginning of something special.

Suddenly, without warning, Caleb leaned in and pressed his lips against Diya's. She was taken aback at first, but the warmth and passion of the kiss quickly enveloped her. The rain continued to fall, providing a romantic soundtrack to their unexpected moment. Their hearts raced as they pulled away, both feeling a spark of something new and exciting between them. They gazed into each other's eyes, unsure of what had just happened but wanting more. The rain continued to fall, a symbol of the unexpected and beautiful moment they had shared.

As they finally parted their lips, they both gasped for air, feeling their chests rise and fall rapidly. Their hearts were pounding so hard, they could almost hear them echoing in the silence that followed.

Caleb's face turned red as he sheepishly wiped his lips and muttered, "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that."

Diya's heart dropped at his words, feeling a mixture of disappointment and relief. She looked down at her lap, her hair falling in front of her face to hide her flushed cheeks. She had always been shy and reserved, and this situation was making her feel more awkward than ever.

The silence that followed was thick and heavy, the tension between them almost palpable. Caleb's hand reached out to brush her hair away from her face, but she quickly pulled away, not wanting him to see just how red her face was.

"I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have assumed..." Caleb's words were cut off by Diya's sudden outburst.

"No, no, it's not that," she blurted out, her voice cracking with nerves. "I-I just didn't expect you to, um, do that."

Caleb's face softened at her words, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, "I've been wanting to do that for a while now," he admitted, his own cheeks turning a light shade of pink.

Diya couldn't believe her ears, "Wait, what? Since when?"

As they stood face to face, on the brink of a conversation, a sudden ring of the doorbell abruptly interrupted the stillness of the moment and sent shivers down their spines. Startled by the unexpected noise, they both flinched simultaneously, their pupils dilating with a mix of shock and curiosity.

Without saying a word, Caleb got up from the couch and walked to the door, leaving Diya alone with her thoughts and emotions. She couldn't believe what had just happened, and she wasn't sure how to process it all.

When Caleb returned, he had a sheepish expression on his face as he handed her a slice of pizza. "I ordered some food," he said, trying to break the awkward tension in the air.
