He brushed the hair from her forehead, his thumb tracing her bottom lip. "And I'm yours," he replied, his voice just as quiet. "I don't ever want to be without you again." He leaned in, kissing her tenderly. "Thank you," he whispered against her lips. "For coming back to me."

Their bodies were cooling now, sweat drying on their skin. He rolled onto his side, pulling her into his embrace. Her head rested on his chest, and he ran his fingers through her damp hair, marveling at the softness. He could feel her breath, warm and steady against his skin.

Outside, the storm raged on, thunder rumbling through the room like a living thing. The wind howled, and the rain beat against the window with such force that it threatened to shake the house from its foundations. But they were safe here, together.

Jesse ran his fingers along the delicate line of Billie's jaw, marveling at the way her skin was so pale and smooth against his rougher hands. He'd missed this, the feel of her body pressed against his, her breath warm against his skin. He couldn't help but wonder how she had survived out there for so long, so alone and vulnerable with Matthew.

The storm continued its fury outside, but they were both content to stay where they were, wrapped up in each other's warmth. The weight of their shared secrets felt lighter now, as if the rain had washed them away. They didn't need to talk; the comfort they found in each other's presence was enough.

Jesse traced circles on her back, watching as her skin flushed under his touch. He marveled at the way she fit so perfectly against him, her curves molding themselves to his body like they'd been made for each other. He couldn't help but wonder how she'd managed to survive without him all those years, how she'd found the strength to keep going when everything seemed lost.

He kissed her nose, then her cheek, tracing lazy circles around her lips with his fingers. "You're so beautiful," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "I can never stop looking at you." She smiled, her eyes closing as she savored the feel of his touch.

Outside, the storm finally began to die down, the winds subsiding and the rain slowing to a gentle patter against the window. The world seemed to calm, as if it had been waiting for this moment, for them to find their way back to each other. As the silence deepened, Jesse found himself wondering what the future held for them. They had survived so much already, and they had each other. Perhaps they could find a way to make a life together, somehow.

Billie playfully pinched his nipple, making him arch into her touch. "You're the one who's beautiful, Jesse. You were always the one who could make me lose my breath." She smiled up at him, her eyes sparkling in the dim light. "I don't know how I survived without you. You were my rock, my anchor. Even when I was lost at sea, you were there, calling to me."

"Sea?" Jesse echoed, raising an eyebrow.

"After we broke up, I'd always go to our favourite sea side, staring into the night sky, wondering where you went. But after Matthew came back into my life, I- I was never able to go there again." She shuddered, her body tensing against his. "I tried to forget you, to move on, but every time I saw the ocean, it was like a constant reminder of what I had lost. Of what I had thrown away."

He kissed her forehead and stroked her hair, then got up and tossed her bra and clothes. "Here." "Where are we going?" she asked, already tugging her shirt over her head. "Just trust me," he replied with a grin. He took her hand and led her out of the bedroom, through the living room, and out the front door. The rain had stopped completely, the sky clear and filled with stars. They were surrounded by the faint glow of streetlights, but it was still dark enough that they could see the faint outlines of trees and bushes.

"Where are we going?" Billie asked again, a note of playfulness in her voice. "To see the sea," Jesse replied, leading her down the path toward the beach. The sand was cool and soft beneath their feet, and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore provided a soothing background to their conversation.

Jesse playfully lifted her into his arms, carrying her down the sandy slope toward the water's edge. The ocean air filled her lungs, making her feel alive and free. She wrapped her arms around his neck, her body pressing against his, as they waded into the cool water. The waves lapped at their ankles, then their knees, and finally their waists, but Jesse held her steady.

He then tossed her down and laughed hard, but then stopped when she didn't come up. "Baby?" he said worriedly, searching for her. Suddenly, someone pushed him down into the water and when he came back up he saw Billie behind him, laughing hysterically.

"That's what you get bitch!" Billie shrieked, grappling with him in the shallow water. "I've missed you so much!" They rolled around in the waves, laughing and splashing each other. Despite the weight of their past, they couldn't help but revel in the sheer joy of being together again.

He chuckled and carried her in bridal style, and she held onto him as he went deeper into the ocean, "Jesse please do not toss me here I swear to god I would fucking drown." She said with worried eyes, making him chuckle. "Shh I won't. I know how short your leash is," he grinned, and she rolled her eyes.

She held onto him tighter and nestled into his neck, feeling the warmth of his body against hers. As they waded deeper, she could feel the waves lap against her chest, and the saltwater sting her eyes. But she didn't care. She was here with him, where she belonged.

"Right I'm not going any further," he said, laughing. She giggled and he slowly put her down but she was screaming like a maniac. "Carry me back! Ugh Jesse!! Jesse James Rutherford stop it! I'm gonna die!" she screamed, and he couldn't help but laugh.

He held her waist as she continued screaming, "Carry me back! You bastard!" and kissed her forehead. "You're fine bozo, I won't let anything happen to you," he said, grinning. He started walking back toward the shore with her in his arms, feeling the water slowly recede from their bodies. The cool sand pressed against her back as they laid in the shallow water, their bodies still partially submerged.

She looked up at him as he carried her. "You really are an asshole." She giggled. "But I love you, you idiot." He grinned and ran his fingers through her wet hair.

They made it to the shore and she held onto him even more. "What? We're not in the water anymore." He teased her, his voice playful as he kissed her nose. "You can let go now." She glanced up at him, "Motherfucker it's cold!" She whined. "It's not that cold," he chuckled, "Come on, let's go back and get dry."

"Do you have a towel or something in the car?" She asked and he rolled his eyes, trying to put her down. "No no no!"

"Jesus Billie. Patience please I'm not gonna kill you annoying shorty." He growled, but then put her down anyways. He took off his shirt and wrapped it around her. "There you go, that's better." He said, helping her up. "I'm sorry I'm being such a pain, it's just. . . I'm glad to be with you again." She smiled at him, a genuine one.

"Don't make me slap you hard 'till you see stars. You're not a pain at all." He winked. "Climb behind my back." She smiled and did as he said, wrapping her arms around his neck again. He held her tight, feeling her warmth against his back. As they walked back to the car, he couldn't help but marvel at the way she fit so perfectly with him. Her laughter was contagious, her touch electrifying. He couldn't imagine his life without her now.
