Grace POV
Bright led me into an upscale shop, and I couldn't help but gasp, "Yves Saint Laurent?" I glanced at him, surprised. I knew he was a billionaire, but I hadn't expected him to bring me here.
"Yes, princess! Come," he said, taking my hand and pulling me inside. "Take whatever you want; I'll buy it for you."
His words left me momentarily speechless. "What are you waiting for?" he asked, noticing I hadn't moved.
"Can we go to another shop?" I hesitated. "Everything here looks so expensive, and I don't want you to think I'm just using you."
"What are you talking about? Stop being ridiculous and go!" he insisted.
"Bright, can we..." I started, but he cut me off.
"This is one of the things I really like about you: you don't care about my money, and it's easy to satisfy you. If it were another girl, she'd be thrilled if I told her to take whatever she wanted, probably asking me to buy the whole store! But you..." He paused, his tone softening. "You never asked for anything. I wanted to bring you here and spoil you, so please, just go!"
I nodded slowly, feeling a rush of warmth. "Okay."
"Go!" he urged again, but just as I turned to leave, he grabbed my hand. "Don't forget to pick a beautiful dress for tonight." With that, he let me go.
After two hours, I finally gathered everything I needed. Just as Bright was about to pay, he asked, "Princess, did you get the dress?"
I nodded. "Can you show me?"
An idea struck me...I wanted to surprise him. "No wait, you'll see tonight! Then you can judge if I have good taste or not!" I said with a teasing grin.
"Okay!" he replied, smirking.
As the teller scanned my items, she spotted the dress and smiled at Bright. "Don't worry, sir. Your girlfriend has a very good taste; this dress is amazing!"
My face flushed at being called his girlfriend, and Bright's smirk widened. "Did you hear that, love? She said my girlfriend has good taste!"
I felt heat creeping up my cheeks. "No, you misunderstood! I'm not his girlfriend!" I quickly explained, but the teller just smiled knowingly.
"Of course not, love. You're not my girlfriend... but soon to be my wife!" Bright said, and I nearly choked on my embarrassment. The teller laughed, and all I wanted was to run away.
"Thank you," Bright said to the teller, then took my hand and led me to the car. He opened the door for me, and I slid inside.
"Thank you so much for all of this, Bright," I said, my heart fluttering.
"Of course, princess. You're welcome," he replied softly, a beautiful smile on his face.
The drive back was quiet. When we arrived home, he got out and came around to help me out of the car. "Grace, you have one hour to get ready. It's 6:25 PM, so I want you down here by 7:25 PM. We need to arrive at 8 PM, and it takes about 30 minutes to get there. Don't be late," he said, his tone serious.
"But when does the event start?" I asked, a little confused.
"At 8:30 PM," he replied.
I was shocked. "So why do we have to be there earlier?"
"Because everyone thinks I live there," he said matter-of-factly.
"How many mansions do you have?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.
