   Bright's POV

It had been three weeks since Grace had been in the hospital, and every day felt like an eternity. I was constantly by her side, desperately hoping she would wake up. Each passing day was a torment; one day felt like a hundred years. For the first time, I wished it were me lying there instead of her.

I sat in a chair beside her bed, gently squeezing her hand when Kim entered the room. "Kim, you're here!" I greeted him, knowing how deeply he cared for Grace. He'd risked everything for her, even confronting his own father after the attack.

"Yes, can I come in?" he asked, his voice subdued. I nodded, and he pulled up a chair, settling in next to me. His gaze was fixed on Grace, filled with regret and guilt, feelings he shouldn't have to bear.

"Kim, I know you think it's your fault, but it's not," I said softly, wrapping my arms around his shoulders. "It was always my fault, from the very beginning," he replied, his voice cracking. "If I'd only warned you about my father's plans, you'd still have your parents."

Hearing him say that sent a pang through my chest. I realized how unfair I had been, blaming him when he had no intention of hurting our family. This entire situation had spiraled out of a misunderstanding, and if we'd talked things through earlier, we might not be here now. But it was too late for that.

"Kim, you tried to stop your father. You didn't hurt my parents; you never wanted to. I should be the one apologizing for not believing in you, for not trusting my best friend...my brother," I said, feeling the weight of my remorse.

"Do you still consider me your brother?" he asked, vulnerability etched in his features. "You'll always be my brother. I love you, bro," I replied, keeping my arms around him.

"I love you so much, too," he said, pulling me into a tight embrace. "You don't know how much I've missed this," I whispered in his ear. "I missed teasing and annoying you, too," he joked, making us both laugh as we held each other tightly.

After a few moments, we broke the hug, and I returned my attention to Grace, gently caressing her hand. "Bright, please take care of my little tigress," Kim suddenly said, his eyes filled with an undeniable love for her.

"I will, bro. Thank you," I replied, sensing his shock at my gratitude. "Thank you for what?" he asked, confusion on his face. "For letting me take care of her. I know you can care for her better than I can, and I see how much you love her."

He looked at me, understanding dawning on him. "You're right. No one can take care of her like I can, and I love her more than anything. But I know she doesn't see me as a lover, more like a big brother who will always protect her. With you, it's different. She loves you, Bright, just as much as you love her. So please, take care of her. Hold her tight, because I won't hesitate to take her back if you don't treat her right."

His tone was serious, but I caught the hint of humor beneath it. "I will, I promise. I'll treat her like a princess," I assured him. "As a queen," he replied, the gravity returning to his voice. We both laughed, grateful for the moment of levity amidst the heaviness surrounding us.

   Kim's POV
After so many years, I finally reconciled with Bright. He was like the brother I never had, and I knew he would take care of my little tigress, Grace. I loved her deeply, but it was clear she loved Bright in a way I couldn't compete with. I wanted her all to myself, but I knew she wouldn't be truly happy with me as she could be with him. So, I made the painful decision to let her be with another man. It hurt, but I found solace in knowing she had found someone who would love her just as much as I did.

I sat in a chair beside Bright, both of us watching over Grace as she lay there. He held her right hand while I held her left. Suddenly, I felt a gentle movement in her fingers. My heart raced as I looked at Bright in shock. "Did you see that?" I asked, and his eyes widened in disbelief. "She moved! Call the doctor, Kim!"

I sprang from my seat and rushed out of the room, calling for the doctor. He arrived in no time, instructing us to step outside while he examined her. Bright and I sat on a bench just outside the door, our hearts pounding with hope. "She's going to wake up!" Bright exclaimed, his excitement infectious. My smile was wide, but it faded as I thought about what might come next.

"What's wrong, bro?" Bright asked, wrapping an arm around my shoulder. I hesitated, wrestling with my thoughts. "What will her reaction be when she opens her eyes and sees me? The son of the man who put her in this condition?" The image of losing her again twisted painfully in my chest.

"What about me? What if she hates me? I'm the reason she's here in the first place. I brought her into this mafia life, and now she's suffering because of it. What if she can't forgive me?"

In that moment, I realized that both Bright and I needed to maintain some distance from her. As long as she saw us, she would always be in danger. It was a bitter pill to swallow, but her safety had to come first.

  No one's POV

Both Bright and Kim understood the precarious situation they were in. Being close to Grace was a danger, not just to them but to her as well. Acknowledging this truth was difficult, but they knew it was necessary for her safety. Until they could navigate the treacherous world of crime and the mafia, it was best to keep their distance.

As they sat on the bench outside Grace's room, anxiety hung heavily in the air. They exchanged worried glances, each lost in their thoughts while waiting for the doctor to emerge. Minutes felt like hours, but finally, the door opened, and the doctor appeared.

"Doc, how is she?" Bright asked, his voice laced with urgency. "Will she wake up soon?" Kim echoed, his concern evident.

"Mr. Smith and Mr. Cavill, I have good news for you!" The doctor's smile was reassuring. Bright and Kim locked eyes for a moment, anticipation bubbling between them.

"She'll wake up in around 12 to 24 hours." The words they had been longing to hear washed over them like a wave of relief.

But before they could fully embrace the joy, the doctor continued, "May I tell you something?"

Both nodded, silence enveloping them as they awaited the doctor's next words.

"After such a long time in a coma, it's beneficial for her to see someone close to her,her family, her parents. It will aid her recovery significantly. I recommend you inform her family." With that, the doctor left them standing in stunned silence.

The weight of his words settled heavily in their hearts. Informing Grace's parents meant they would likely be pushed out of her life, and neither of them wanted to lose her again. Yet, they both knew what they had to do, regardless of their personal desires. It was for Grace's well-being, and that had to come first, even if it tore them apart.
